Today we were working on a review IXL in Algebra 1 on evaluating expressions. The student didn’t have a calculator… so she calculated 60x14 using the box method. How cool! I was excited to tell her we are going to be using it this year too! (She later changed the 600-240 to +)

My Algebra 2 students today split up into groups and screen shared some equations of roller coasters. It was fun to do a continuing β€œalike and different” as we presented new equations. They even got a ride on a roller coaster out of the deal!
