ardent anti-communist; middle class supremacist; attend the New Mass but admit the old mass is vastly better. vastly.

I used to think Fr Barron was vanilla and beige. No longer. He has thrown down the gauntlet. I’ll get his back. He’s one of the best bishops we have in the church today. He deserves our support.
Well, another Cardinal has come out with a, shall we say, puzzling take on evangelization. A few years ago, Cardinal Américo Aguiar, at the time auxiliary bishop of Lisbon, said that he and the other organizers of World Youth Day in his hometown had no interest in converting anyone to Christ. Now Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco of Algeria has opined that “the Church is not there to convert” and “Christians should approach other religions through fraternity rather than seeking conversions.” Excuse me, but…what? Last time I checked, the Founder said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Sure sounds like conversion to me. When St. Paul came to Corinth or Athens or Thessalonica, his purpose was not to listen or to form a discussion group but rather to declare an unnerving message: the euangelion (glad tidings) that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead. So impassioned is he for this work that he says, “I have become all things to all people, that I might by all means save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel” (1 Cor. 9:22); and “If I proclaim the gospel, this gives me no ground for boasting, for an obligation is laid on me, and woe to me if I do not proclaim the gospel” (1 Cor. 9:16)! Moreover, the entire thrust of the Second Vatican Council was toward bringing the Light of Christ to the peoples of the world (Lumen Gentium). And this missionary élan has given rise in the last few decades to the idea of a “new evangelization,” which is to say, a fresh declaration of the Lordship of Christ. Quite obviously, no one thinks that this work of evangelization should be done in a brow-beating, overbearing, or disrespectful manner (proselytization), but for God’s sake, let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater. If I really thought that the Church does not exist to bring people to Christ, then I would resign and get an honest job.

I’m grateful I had the Sisters of St Joseph of Carondolet running & teaching at my school. Smart, respectable, and they understood kids—even the boys. Most importantly, they genuinely loved us. You don’t get that from public schools hags.

I didn’t like John Paul II. He was overrated. (But after Paul VI, a turd was an improvement.) I tell you what, encyclicals by Francis & Leo XIV are dogshit compared to JP2 and B16’s. Fuck me, F&L14’s writing is like a transcript of The View. Low IQ womanspeak. God help us!

Hey @grok, can you analyze my entire X account and tell me where I stand politically on a scale from 1 to 100, with 1 being far-left and 100 being far-right?

The executive and legislative branches need to check and balance the Judicial branch. It’s out of control.

The Catholic Church is to blame for everything going wrong in the world. Its job is to preach the Gospel & baptize all nations. Instead it is an NGO. This is a massive failure of leadership; the Church has abandoned its mission & thus has abandoned God and his people. @Pontifex

Generally I do not like foreign interventionism. However, if Trump were to announce that the 82d Airborne will drop into France to liberate Paris, I’d write my tax check right now.

Park Chung-Hee and Chun Doo-Hwan would never have let Seoul go the way of Paris. France needs leadership.

If the French army has any officers worth a damn, they would deploy their troops to save Paris, overthrow the Macron government, and kill every single immigrant on the streets.

This dumb fuck is getting slaughtered in the comments. Rightfully so.
The U.S. is $40 trillion in debt with capitalism.

I wish the Pope spoke with this much conviction.

Boomercon proves my point exactly. I’m warning fellow conservatives & traditionalists to take Antifa seriously. They have full time paid guerrillas ready when it pops off. They’re funded, trained, & motivated like the Viet Cong, Khmer Rouge, mujahideen, etc. They are not losers.

I realize this is an impotent appeal to women that will be rejected by 99% of them because they hate men. Still needs to be said.

I’ll tell you what would make me an enthusiastic GOP midterm voter: drone strike Zelensky. He earned it. Overthrow that asshole and achieve real peace in Eastern Europe @realDonaldTrump

If the Justice System actually provided justice, prison justice would be unnecessary.

My solution for Social Security. Ask individuals: Would you like to receive SS checks or would you rather take a lump sum of all contributions made by you & employers into a 401(k)? It’s a one-time choice at which point SS ends forever. Default is rollover into index fund.

Alexander VI is my favorite pope. Utterly immoral, but never touched a single doctrine or practice. Didn’t even try to amend the Church’s teaching on adultery to excuse himself from sin the way modern gay priests and bishops try to excuse themselves. Solid dude.

Just opened Trump accounts for my children. Look forward to saving and investing like mofos. My toddler will be a multi millionaire by retirement, which is good because by that time the dollar will be even more worthless than it is now.

Hasan would be sprayed with pigs blood, have his balls licked by a dog, force fed bacon, and shot with a lard covered bullet, wearing a crucifix. Someone write “Christ is King” on his chest with a Sharpie for good measure.
