🇫🇷 French presidential candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon pledged Saturday that, if elected, French navy ships would escort citizen flotillas trying to break Israel's blockade of Gaza “if necessary."
"We will act head-on to help the Palestinians, against both the genocide in Gaza and the gradual annexation of the West Bank," Mélenchon, the leader of the left-wing party La France Insoumise, said at a rally at Le Bourget, near Paris, where he presented his program for the 2027 election.
He said France would not accept Israel's "gradual annexation" of the West Bank, southern Lebanon or the Golan Heights.

This woman is an angel on earth.
A 75-year-old Italian woman named Eugenia is selling her historic mansion and donating the entire proceeds to help the children of Gaza.
She says every penny from the sale will go to Doctors Without Borders.

I have information. You completely destroyed Iran's nuclear program in June last year. It must be true because Donald Trump said so.
Can I have the money?
Rewards for Justice is offering a reward of up to $20 million and possible relocation for information about Iran’s nuclear program, including its facilities, equipment, and associated personnel, such as those in the scientific community, or the movement of any of the above.

If you want to understand why Washington is conducting Ukraine peace negotiations without the EU at the table, listen to Kaja Kallas's speech today.
She insists that Brussels must be involved in negotiations over Europe's future security, while simultaneously claiming that the continent already has an established security architecture based on NATO and the EU, into which Ukraine should simply be integrated.
But that's precisely the problem, because Russia, Europe's largest country and biggest nuclear power, is outside those institutions. And as Washington appears increasingly willing to acknowledge, any lasting settlement must address the security relationship between Russia and the rest of Europe.
Not to mention that if the existing arrangements were functioning adequately, Europe would hardly be experiencing its biggest war in generations (a child could see this, for crying out loud).
Nobody is suggesting that Moscow should have a complete veto over NATO (except maybe some very hardline fringe nationalists). but it's difficult to see how a lasting continental security settlement can be achieved without addressing the relationship between Russia and the blocs members, including the security concerns of both sides.
Kallas is perfectly entitled to demand a seat at the negotiating table (as are the British and the Turkish, for that matter), but insisting that the existing architecture is sufficient, without explaining how relations with Russia can be managed within it, doesn't seem a particularly constructive starting point.
The whole purpose of the negotiations is to establish a settlement that prevents another war, but simply defending the arrangements under which this one occurred will hardly do that?
Putin does not have a veto over European security.
Any agreement to end the war must prevent Russia from re-arming and re-attacking.
This is why earlier this year, I put forward a paper with core demands towards Moscow, which was discussed by EU Foreign Ministers. This should be the basis for any negotiations.
Concessions should be on the aggressor, not on the victim.

The only ground allowed to be heard in Supreme Court appeal was balance between countering terrorism and freedom of speech and assembly.
The judges referenced terrorism, terrorist or national security 60 times.
They mentioned freedom of speech zero times.

Scores of trucks carrying new tents and caravans (mobile homes) have been waiting at Gaza's border for more than a year, but Israel has blocked them from entering despite a US-brokered and monitored ceasefire.
Israel’s deliberate and systematic cruelty to deprive displaced Palestinians of shelter and compound their suffering is part of an effort to drive Palestinians out of Gaza, and is continuing with full U.S. support.

I unequivocally support the right of the true owners of these homes to take back what was stolen from them, by force if necessary.
Israel is a thieving crime syndicate.

Gaza’s winter and its flooded, collapsing tents are the final indictment of Tony Blair, @nmladenov and Trump’s so-called @BoardOfPeace. @SteveWitkoff. @InstituteGC.
Over a year after a sham ceasefire, civilians remain abandoned in the open, exposed to rain, cold and misery.
Meanwhile, those overseeing Gaza’s future enjoy funding and privileges, offering its people nothing but empty promises, deception and complicity with Israel’s narrative.

The image of a little girl in Gaza standing in the rain captures a stark, painful contrast: the innocence of childhood set against the harsh reality of life in Gaza. 🍉 The winter rain has transformed the scene into a tableau that blends spontaneous, childlike joy with profound human suffering. Our tattered tents—and everything we own—have been completely submerged today. 🥹💔 Please, speak about us; be our voice to the world.
