Susan Saint James, ‘Name of the Game,’ ‘McMillan & Wife’ and ‘Kate & Allie’ Star, Dies at 80 hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-…
Susan Saint James, the Emmy-winning actress who starred opposite Rock Hudson in “McMillan & Wife” and Jane Curtin in the CBS sitcom “Kate & Allie,” died Monday at 80 years old after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Saint James’ family described her as someone “generous with her time and energy, which she valued more than money, and instinctively drawn to whoever needed lifting up. She taught her children to pause, be kind and look out for other people. She never met a stranger. Every person she met became the most important person in the room at that moment, from a fellow board member to the clerk at the shoe store, who usually walked away knowing her entire life story.” (via People)

81yo Elkie Brooks blowing the doors off on Jools and, effectively, handing the lassie Adele her ‘arse on a plate’. Outstanding stuff, from an ACTUAL legend. ❤️

Marcus Townend Fundraiser
About Marcus
After time with local newspapers and the Sporting Life, he worked for the Daily Mail for 35 years, graduating to becoming its racing editor and correspondent – a diligent, principled, talented and tenacious journalist.
Marcus's accident
It is nearly a year since Marcus fell off his bike and suffered the first of three bleeds in his brain. Three months later, he had gradually recovered well enough from the first two to spend a month at home. The third bleed, which occurred at the end of March, following a plate insertion to repair his skull, proved the most damaging, from which he is still recuperating. Too late, he was finally diagnosed in July to have mild haemophilia. Despite his amazing determination to communicate clearly, self care and mobilise, he will require ongoing neurophysiotherapy and much care from others to achieve his independent potential.
How you can help?

So sad to report that Accidental Agent died yesterday. He was the horse of so many people’s lifetime. Besides winning my first Group 1 he was a horse of great character who was loved by us all & will be missed by us all. Thank you AA. 💕💕

Completely overwhelmed by all the messages I have received since my statement.
As I continue my treatment and my recovery now know that I simply have to raise more awareness around mental health in the future
Best part of 6 weeks before the UK Championships starts and all being well I’ll be in a better place by then but for now it’s just one day at a time
Thanks again for all your support. It’s meant so so much to myself and my family

Marcus has been having a rotten time.
He devoted most of his working life to #horseracing as a great reporter, writer & fan - plus as an enthusiastic one-race jockey.
It would be great if you were able to help…

1985, Farewell to a Legend
Dónal Lunny, Christy Moore and O’Donoghue’s. Three legends in one photograph.
Remembering Dónal Lunny, a giant who helped shape the sound of Irish music. RIP.
Mairfidh a cheol. ☘️
Máire and Dónal both gone. What a terrible year. But there's a mighty seisiún with the angels.
