This document literally shows you the 6 emails every ecom brand should be send to to unlock the most amount of profit from their list in 2026: (I’ve sent over a billion marketing emails)
I’ve sent over a billion e-commerce emails across 300+ brands… Which means I’ve tested basically every type of email there is. Most only work for a specific brand or offer... But a handful print no matter who you run them for. So which ones actually work everywhere, and why? I broke down all 6 here 👇

One of the easiest ways to increase your take rate move is giving people three subscription options instead of two. > A monthly subscription > A quarterly subscription > A one-time purchase. The reason three beats two is that two of your three options are now subscription, so subscribing becomes the default frame... The quarterly option anchors monthly as the middle, safe choice.... And one-time becomes the obvious worst value sitting there next to both of them.... Most people end up subscribing simply because it’s two out of three options on the page. Surprised by how many brands actually structure it this way lol.

Curious what adding a free gift on Order #2 does for a subscription brand? 🎁 Free Gift Recipients: 77.9% rebill rate on Order 2 ❌ Holdout Group: 70.4% rebill rate on Order 2 Given their COGS on the gift, it is well worth it. (Also, the recipients will rebill more times)

Creative emails should make up 15-25% of your calendar. Email is the one channel where people have already decided whether to engage before they read a word. They see the shape of the email and know exactly what it is... Problem is most brands send the same shape every single time. Which is why you need to break your format on purpose... The best concepts: > Airdrop notification where the product sits where the sender name goes > Notes app screenshot with your product on a checklist > Fake group chat where friends are talking about the product > Receipt from a competitor with every overpriced line circled > Boarding pass with your bestsellers as the itinerary > Error message or system alert > Text message thread with the founder Where to pull them from: > Subscribe to 20 brands and swipe everything creative > Break down why each one worked > Steal concepts from packaging, memes, viral tweets, app interfaces > Take your next send and ask yourself what’s the most unexpected way to deliver that same message Easiest way to wake up a list that stopped paying attention.

Does this pass the scroll test? Meaning, if you opened this in your inbox, would you stop to actually read it? At Well Copy we ask that question before every send. The headline pulls you in, the visual gives you a reason to keep going and the copy gives you a reason to buy. Every element earns its place or it gets cut. Most brands fail this test and it’s why their emails don’t convert.

I’ve received dozens of questions in DMs and in person about what’s going on with @aftersell. Here’s our full statement on what happened. Please give it a read. TL;DR:
 • There was no checkout hijacking
 • We experienced a cybersecurity attack that was patched within two hours of detection
 • No sensitive or PII data was exposed. The few affected merchants were contacted directly, and no one needs to take any action Our entire engineering team is focused on security, and we’re working with Shopify on App Store relisting as soon as possible.
There’s been a lot of speculation about @aftersell over the last week, including some erroneous claims about checkout hijacking. We understand given what's going on in the ecosystem but here's what actually happened to Aftersell 👇 Starting October 7th, an attacker sent millions of malicious requests to our servers. Most failed or did nothing, but the attack exposed non-sensitive upsell configuration data (e.g. discount settings) from a subset of 22 stores and they have of course been notified. It was an automated and almost certainly AI-assisted attack. It sent millions of requests in a single day, and switched to a pool of 1,460 rotating IP addresses. The moment we blocked one, the next one would appear. We closed the vulnerability within two hours. For everyone speculating about checkout hijacking, I want to make it very clear that this DID NOT happen to us. No shopper data or payment info was exposed, and no money moved. Aftersell merchants do not need to take any action - the app remains fully functional. No sensitive data was exposed, but the responsible thing was to take ownership and make sure the security of our product came first. I’d rather take the install hit before BFCM than ask merchants to trust us before we’d checked everything. Here’s what we’ve done since: → We’ve been working closely with Shopify’s security team and have brought in third parties for external incident review, VAPT, and specialized pen testing. → Aftersell is part of Rokt, and Rokt’s security team has run this investigation. The team is led by an ex-FBI cybersecurity leader and recently joined Anthropic’s Cyber Verification Program, which gives our security team access to Anthropic’s most capable models for defensive work. These models are now continuously reviewing every public route on Aftersell and are built into our security stack. → We have informed the FBI and other partners that share cyber threat intelligence to help stop attackers in the ecosystem. We will continue to work with the cybersecurity community to ensure the highest of security standards on Aftersell. → We are working with Shopify to ensure we get re-listed as soon as possible so new stores can install and set up Aftersell ahead of BFCM. Our commitment to the merchants who use or are considering Aftersell: 1) Security comes first on our roadmap. Our entire engineering team has spent the last few weeks on security work, and we’re using AI to defend against AI, with those same models now built into our security stack. We’ll keep investing, and we’ll stay transparent. If something affects your store, you’ll hear it from us. This is an always on program. We contacted affected merchants, we will always do this to ensure you know what is going on. 2) We’ll share what we learn. Attacks like this are becoming more common by the day across all platforms and we want to help our partners get ahead of them too. More on this soon. If your Shopify app has been hit by something similar, DM me. Happy to share our notes and learnings. We take a lot of pride in serving a large portion of the Shopify ecosystem, and we’re committed to building the best and most secure upsell product out there. If you have questions, comment below or DM me directly.

One of the greatest feelings is seeing a friend win who absolutely deserves it. When I started working with him at the end of 2023, his brand was barely cracking $100K/month. Most people would’ve told him he was insane for entering one of the most saturated markets in health and wellness. 2.5 years later, he's approaching $10M/month. 3 things this brand does better than almost anyone I've worked with: 1. PRODUCT SCIENCE They went crazy on clinical trials, third-party reviews, and customer data. Every claim has real proof behind it and increases their conversion rate. 2. ACQUISITION OFFERS They never stop testing. Free gifts vs. cashback vs. percent off vs. bundles. Always optimizing what converts cold traffic and has multiple offers running all the time. 3. PRODUCT EDUCATION It's a subscription brand, so people who understand the product stay with it. Their acquisition and onboarding is built around that… truly getting people to buy into the product and use it every day. Conversion on the front end. Retention on the back end. That's how you go from $100K to $10M. Very well deserved and I have learned a lot from him and how he operates.

If you’re running a subscription brand, you should constantly be churn-proofing your billing reminder. Your customer is deciding whether to stay the second that email lands. So give them the obvious reasons to not cancel: - What’s actually shipping to them - A free gift coming in this order - How much they’ve saved by staying subscribed - Where they are in their results journey - Testimonials from people further along than them - The perks they’d lose by leaving - What’s waiting for them in the next order You’re just reminding them what they already bought into... So simply stack it above the manage subscription button so they scroll past all of it first. Think about it from the customer's POV... they just got an email telling them money is about to leave their account. If the first thing they see is a cancel button, you’ve made it easy for them bounce. So bury it at the very bottom so everything good comes first. People are looking for a reason to decide either way. So make sure the reason to stay is the only thing in front of them.
