Each person is responsible 100% for their own sin. If she had faults, she's responsible for those. Cheating was his choice, and his fault. Those elders taught something that's unscriptural. I'm glad it worked out nonetheless. God often hits a strait lick with a crooked stick.
I know a couple that's celebrating 50 years of marriage this year. Year 4 the guy cheated on her. He actually left for months & even moved in with the other woman. The enemy thought he delivered a knock out blow to this family & they would be fractured forever. The wife was told by family & friends to LEAVE THAT SCUMBAG & that she deserved better. Instead of get angry, she went all-in on her own faith & looked within. She had mentees in the church that help her discover that she was 50% to blame for him cheating. Control, nagging day in & day out, never offering encouragement--- what did you expect one of the elders in the church asked her? I can't imagine how difficult that was to admit any fault when you were the one cheated on & wronged, but she did. She sought the Lord's forgiveness for part. She blasted praise music & lived in the Bible for the next many months. When this man would come around to see his kids she harbored zero resentment & to this day the man will say I NOTICED THIS DEEP JOY & PEACE IN HER........ I LONGED FOR IT TOO. After many months this man ended it with that other woman & came with an offer, "I don't deserve it, but whatever you have I want. I want to start going to church too. I want to learn how to be a great husband & dad. I want to start new with God in the middle." 46 years later. RESTORED. LEGACY OF LOVE, HONOR, & COMMITMENT. Many have been inspired by these two people & the fruit they've produced over the years has impacted millions of lives! Many call them heroes. I call these 2 people MOM & DAD. ❤️🙏 Radical ownership sets you free. I wonder in the church today would many women offer that same advice my mom got? Look at what they would have missed out on?!

Question: Which of these are genocides? 3% = Percent of populace of Gaza killed in the war 2.5% = Percent of populace of US killed in the civil war 4% = Percent of populace of Europe killed in WW2 33% = Percent of Muslim men in Srebrenica killed in 12 days 50-75% = Percent of Armenians in Turkey killed by the Young Turks 67% = Percent of European Jews killed by the Nazis Do you get it now or do you need to call a friend for help?

My hypothesis: the only way the NBA reforms what has become a practically unwatchable game is by re-incorporating as many of the norms of pick-up basketball as they can. Anyone who has ever played at the park knows the honor-norms are carefully calibrated to harness competitive basketball without it leading to fights. Calling your own fouls often leads to a much higher bar for fouls ("no blood, no foul") because people mercilessly downrank guys who try to game the system. Even if they win, they get no respect--and respect is the engine that keeps everyone in line and makes games fun. The league has to change something to stop the blight of foul-baiting, and I don't think it's as calling the game differently: I think they need to switch the incentives-structure, to shift players' thinking away from baiting people to get to the foul line. Pump fakes should be for better shots, not to draw fouls. In short: bring back the honor code, complete with allowing maximal shaming and displays of superiority against players who violate it. My potential proposals (which I have spent five minutes thinking about) include: 1. Each team has two "flop challenges" per game. Anyone can use 'em at any time, and if they're successful the player who flops is kicked out. 2. Quit indulging "safteyism" with players. Yeah, there were some bad injuries with players landing on others' feet...but the perverse incentives of kicking have broken the "landing zone" idea entirely. (This is why you can't have nice things, NBA players.) If someone injures someone deliberately, see rule 3. 3. Install an NHL-style "penalty box" and give players a latitude for scuffling. Keep the rule about anyone coming off the bench getting kicked out, and permanently ban any NBA player who gets into it with a fan Sprewell-style. Otherwise? If there's a minor fight, give the players three minutes in the box while the teams go four-on-four, or four-on-five. (Three minutes, rather than two, allows for a few more possessions and a steeper penalty.) Let players self-enforce their own honor code. 4. "Take it out." Seriously, reduce the number of free-throws entirely by setting the 1 and 1 number at 10 and two shots at 15 or 20 fouls. Maybe expand it so that there are more free-throws in the final two minutes, but other than that? Make the double-bonus practically impossible to reach. The path to making the NBA fun again is making it more like the park we played at growing up, not less. (File under: opinions for which no one asked.)
OKC knows they can just fall and the refs will blow the whistle 😭

Ben Sasse (Feb. 17, 2026): “America only works if people are deliberative, if people are thoughtful, if people say, ‘My soul matters, my kids’ soul matter, but my neighbor’s soul matters too.’ So I want to have a polity that works, but I know that you can’t compel a soul. So power isn’t the main thing. Our loves are the main thing.”

There's a difference between a misunderstanding and someone refusing to understand you. Misunderstandings can usually be resolved. But some are committed to not understanding, because they don't like your decision. Learn to tell the difference.

Well that ends the debate on deaths in Gaza. Hamas itself is admitting that 80% of casualties were combatants. There was never a genocide. You have been lied to and manipulated.

You become an adult when you realize your parents aren’t perfect. You become a man when you forgive them for it. You become a good father when you repent, pursue growth, and entrust your children to a grace bigger than your mistakes.

Things that are true at the same time imho: —The shooting of Alex Pretti was an unjustified tragedy I don’t care what his politics are he is an American with constitutional rights —Walz is a baffoon using his own citizens as pawns in a game of civil war to distract from fraud and other political problems —Noem is incompetent and lied about the shooting to spin a false narrative and should be fired and replaced immediately —ICE needs to level up the professionalism (process, marked uniforms/vehicles, lose the masks) or will lose credibility to do their job —MN mobs following people around accusing them of being ICE, storming church’s and directly antagonizing ICE agents are wrong —Trump admin needs to deescalate and chart a path to cooperation with local MN law enforcement the way they are in other states —Biden admin let 10M+ illegal immigrants in without vetting and now we have a huge mess on our hands and deserve a ton of blame

My brother is taking a lot of heat for this tweet. But the intent is pretty clear. There's a tendency to soften the truth on both sides of the aisle to align with our political "side," and for followers of Jesus our allegiance is much higher. He's not equating these two things.
If u can’t clearly & boldly state the craziness of Democrats being unable to define what a woman is & saying men can get pregnant, AND the madness of Republicans defending the murder of Alex Pretti, then you’re following a political party/ideology & not The Lord Jesus Christ.

Two things can be true at once. 1) ICE is clearly operating beyond their level of training, and the results are horrifying. 2) If people had the respect for law to submit to authority, even if exercised poorly, and have a day in court, most violent LEO encounters would vanish.

For many people, the biggest obstacle to growth is allowing wise people to speak uncomfortable truth to you. Who do you allow to care about you enough to call you out in love?
