Hi! I still exist (just mostly not here). To answer some questions I've gotten:
1. yes, I still do coffee chats,
2. yes, I still recommend 100Devs and company sponsored bootcamps to help get you into tech, and
3. if you have a US library card, go to gale.udemy.com
I'm getting deliveries to my house and a background check just cleared.... I'm hoping to share some good news with y'all soon!
Is there a way to tell @X that I don't want personal posts from people I do not follow about rapes, murders, and deaths to be given to me in my notifications tab? It's very disconcerting.
Y'all I just had a tech assessment that felt more #AdventOfCode than @LeetCode and I'm thrilled to say I'm pretty confident I did great 🎉
Second tech assessment of the day done... this one much more like a @LeetCode problem. Still feeling good. Fingers crossed! 🤞🤞🤞
I just served on the Selection Committee to choose an installer for the @SolarNeighbors 2024 El Paso Solar Co-op, and I'm happy to say we had enough great bids that it was a tough choice!
#ElPaso folks, you can still join the co-op (no obligation!) through the end of the month.
Have dogs that hate fireworks?
Me too!
I’m trying absolutely blasting dance music at them to drown out the noise - not my normal go-to. And it’s a miracle! They’ve only freaked out *once* in the last two hours of it (we’re at 8:40 here).
Highly recommend! 💃
#AdventOfCode update:
23 stars in! I feel like my theory is fairly solid for both Day 5 Part 2 and Day 10 Part 1, but I'm doing something wrong and I refuse to look up the solutions 😅
Highly recommend the challenge if you haven't joined yet - it's fun!
Went back to day 12 for a bit... and got the right answer for *someone else's* input 🥲
#AdventOfCode
#AdventOfCode Day 14:
Refactored a few times until what I needed to do to get part 2 to run quickly became clear... but it was very satisfying once I figured it out💡
I have a number of Homebrew installs, but I'm looking at installing Anaconda for the install/management of Jupyter and a few other data science-y things. I've heard they don't always play nicely.
Is this a good idea, a neutral idea, or am I about to start a cascade of doom? 🤔
I am not sure exactly where I'm going wrong, but I am letting go of Day 5 part 2 of #AdventOfCode for now.
On to Day 6!
