Television is a writer’s medium. Has been from the beginning. This isn’t just unfair it’s actually bad for business. Making writers into itinerant freelancers will be bad for shows and networks and studios and audiences and television.
The final twist in Fast X should be that Dominic Toretto's biological father is actually Optimus Prime.

Long time ago, a manager told me they “couldn’t do anything” with my fav pilot. A fellowship told me that same pilot “wasn’t (x fellowship) material.” That pilot? Got me repped, got me staffed on True Lies, and opened a ton of other development doors. No one knows anything!

Writers.
Don't be the author who gets a book deal & is so happy to have it that you don't really read it.
You should read and mark up your entire contract.
Ask questions. A lot of them.
Make them explain things to you.
Understand what you are getting and giving up.
