@tZERO and @ICE_Markets have entered into a set of agreements to help build the infrastructure for the next generation of public securities markets.
Under a new MOU, tZERO will serve as a premier design partner for digital transfer agent and broker-dealer infrastructure intended to support on-chain settlement on ICE’s upcoming NYSE-affiliated tokenized securities platform.
ICE has also agreed to participate in tZERO’s latest financing round – deepening a relationship that now extends across investment, technology and market infrastructure.
As part of the agreements, ICE will license tZERO’s blockchain patent portfolio for use in the platform and other potential applications. The companies will also explore the use of tZERO tokenized assets for collateral management across ICE clearing houses and affiliates.
For more than a decade, tZERO has been building regulated, end-to-end infrastructure for tokenized securities. This relationship represents an important opportunity to bring that experience, technology and intellectual property to public equities at institutional scale.
