Hindutva was supposed to erase caste fault lines, not institutionalize them. If your politics survives only by dividing Hindus by caste, then you never stood for Hindu unity in the first place. I truly believed BJP stood for Hindu unity. Turns out it was just optics. Same caste politics, just like Congress. To my SC/ST/OBC brothers who backed BJP for Hindutva, this is not unity, this is division. These UGC guidelines will breed more casteism, nothing else. Until they’re revoked, I stand firmly against BJP.
