Star Trek: The Next Generation respected The Original Series so much that when they portrayed the bridge of the original Enterprise, they didn't try to retcon a more futuristic look. they said thats how it looked, that's all there is to it

I simply don’t care about body shaming men. Men don’t bear children, go through menopause, go on birth control, have menstrual cycles or have hormones. It’s easier for men to lose weight and tone. Yall have no excuse to be big.

It took her 8 seconds from her panicked (rightly so) transmission of falling at 20k fpm and the knowledge that they were going to “crash into the ground” to then calmly describe to that ATC what would ultimately be her death. Eight seconds to process that her life was ending and then continue to provide technical information.
She was an absolute rockstar
Male experienced pilot ignores warnings because he thinks he can handle everything, and decides to fly into the storm. Exactly as I predicted.

i strongly agree, as long as the DNA of all male fathers and children should be kept in a database to be routinely cross checked against DNA obtained from rape kits. full transparency for all.🩷

Female teachers go to seminars on classroom management, struggle for years etc while male teachers get to wing it and get respect just for raising their voice a bit. Its so unfair esp when you then hear those male students say shit like 'Mr X wouldnt treat us like this!'

Narcissistic collapse because the dirty truth comes out and becomes undeniable -> threatening suicide as coercive control or actually doing it a last ditch effort to leave a negative impact on other people.
Don't get manipulated into feeling bad for abusers.
And if you can't save them, at least communicate every little detail so the crash can be investigated and future lives saved.
Which is exactly what she did.

If you're a disaffected young man who identifies with Anakin, then learn the lesson he didn't:
Palpatine hates you.
He's only fueling your anger and resentment for his own dark purposes. He will cause you as much pain as he needs. And in the end, he will discard you.

As an autistic person when I first learned about the concept of networking I thought it was highly manipulative and lacking any integrity because what do you mean I’m expected to know people in order to get a job instead of relying on my experience and work ethic?

The right-wing Anakin posting does make a lot of sense as it combines many of the Right’s core preoccupations: getting groomed; killing your wife; working for an insane, octogenarian tyrant; being hated by your children; losing and dying

My favorite thing on the internet is watching people who can barely tie their shoes wax intellectual about physics after a plane crash.
It's not just men. It's also boys.
Parents are not raising their boys, and girls and women have to suffer the consequences.
Most people don't understand that kinetic energy scales with velocity squared, so very fast things have so much energy they basically evaporate into atoms during collisions.
