A little light can change the whole shot.
I built LumaFold to turn the iPhone Duo’s folding screen into adjustable colour and animated light for creative object photography.

I built Source → Design, a Figma plugin that turns HTML and frontend projects into editable Figma designs.
Import local HTML files or React, Next.js, Svelte and Vue project ZIPs.
Feedback welcome.

I built Source → Design for interfaces that already exist in code but don’t have an up-to-date Figma file.
Import local HTML or React, Next.js, Vue and Svelte ZIPs as editable Figma layers. No public URL needed.
Feedback welcome.

Screenshot-to-CSS can recover a shadow’s blur and opacity.
It can’t tell whether that shadow means elevation, focus, or decoration.
--shadow-raised
--shadow-overlay
--ring-focus
Pixels become a system only when intent is explicit.

AI often treats empty space as unfinished UI.
But whitespace is doing real work: separating groups, controlling pace, and signaling importance.
A screenshot-to-CSS workflow should measure the gaps—not just the objects inside them.

AI can match a screenshot and still miss its density.
Density isn’t “compact” or “spacious.” It’s the ratio between type, control height, spacing and information volume.
Describe those relationships or the model will replace them with defaults.

A screenshot teaches AI what a button looks like at rest.
It doesn’t show hover, focus, loading, disabled, success, or error.
If the design prompt ignores states, the generated UI fills them with defaults.
Extract the style—then specify the behavior.

AI UI consistency is a constraint problem, not a screenshot problem.
Before generating screen two, define:
— allowed tokens
— semantic roles
— responsive rules
— permitted exceptions
visualsnag.com/
AI-generated UI often drifts one “harmless” value at a time:
a near-duplicate gray, a sixth radius, a one-off shadow.
The fix isn’t more polishing.
Every new value should map to an existing token or justify an exception.

AI can see that three elements use the same blue.
It can’t tell whether blue means action, selection, focus, or information.
Screenshot-to-CSS becomes useful when values gain semantic roles. Otherwise the palette survives and the UI logic doesn’t.
