JD Vance stood in the KKK capital of MI & called a Michigan-born doctor a “cancer” with “zero attachment” to America. Same shit he does every time a brown person runs for something. No policy, no record, just the open racism. Republicans are done pretending. They’re flexing it in public now like it’s normal.

Irony of ironies: the same day that the US is accusing Cuba of all sorts of falsehoods at the UN, Marco Rubio snuck the criminal Flavio Bolsonaro out of Brazil to Miami so he can evade justice from Lula, the duly elected leader of his home country. Who is the real “regime” here?

Hi @JDVance what “attachment” to this land do your Indian immigrant in-laws Radhakrishna Chilukuri and Lakshmi Chilukuri have please? And do you say this racist stuff to their faces or just save it for mainly-white MAGA rallies?
Vance on El-Sayed: We have to understand what happens when our nation gives into these kinds of people with zero attachment to its land or to its history.
What we saw in France, the hatred, the ingratitude, the desire to destroy rather than a desire to build, that exact same cancer that has corrupted El-Sayed.
Thankfully @SecScottBessent has priorities and visits Cheesecake Factory.

A sitting governor exchanged 1,400 intimate and embarrassing emails with the world's richest man, then gave him about $2 billion in tax breaks.
State law bans the governor from preventing sitting legislators from seeing those public records. Greg Abbott did it anyway.

You're telling me the President owns up to $23.1 million of Chevron
AND up to $18.4 million of Exxon
AND gas is up 40% in a year
AND his trades show up weeks after he makes them
AND the House voted to ban itself from trading stocks, but the bill doesn't cover him
And we're the ones who get banned for posting it.

(Segue o fio)

President Trump told former New Orleans news anchor @rooprajfox2 during a live interview in Michigan yesterday that everyone in a Louisiana community got $10,000 checks from a neighboring data center. My @WWLTV fact-check finds no such checks exist. wwltv.com/article/news/inves…

Here is what a member of the House of Representatives receives each year:
🔸Pay: $174,000
House majority and minority leader: $193,400
Speaker of the House: $223,500
🔸Average Annual Office Budget: $1.93 million
This covers non-DC office rent and utilities, travel, supplies, equipment, and more. Over 70% goes to paying staff. Staff salary is capped at $228,000 per person per year.
🔸Healthcare: 75% covered by taxpayers
Members are required to get gold-tier health insurance. Taxpayers pay up to 75% of premiums, or $8,400 for an individual and $20,200 for a family, each year.
🔸Lodging and food reimbursement: $192-$295 and $92 per eligible day
When members are officially working in DC, they can claim a lodging reimbursement for each day to cover rent or hotel costs for where they're staying in DC (does not apply to mortgages).
The rate depends on the month and ranges from $192- $295 per day. They can also claim a daily food allowance for those days and some official travel days. The maximum is $92 per day, and no receipt is required to claim it. They can also use that $92 to cover incidentals like tips.
These reimbursements are pulled from the member’s office budget. So if a member claims $25,000 in a year, they have $25,000 less to spend on office/staff/equipment.
2025 saw nearly $7 million worth of these reimbursements. The average amount claimed was ~$18,600. 140 members claimed over $20,000. 26 claimed over $30,000. The highest claim was $39,789.
🔸Retirement Savings: maximum of $8,700 annually
Members of the House receive retirement savings contributions paid by taxpayers. The amount is based on how much they contribute.
🔸Pension: based on years served
Members who have served at least five years are eligible for a pension. The amount and when it can be claimed depend on years served.
That is a substantial pay and benefits package for members of Congress. It would be justified if they worked hard to improve our lives and the nation.
But the House has worked fewer than 90 days in DC this year, and they've accomplished nothing. Most Americans can easily say they've worked far more and been paid much less.
We need to vote out the members of Congress who take advantage of these perks while not doing their jobs, and replace them with those who will take the job seriously.

pro tip: if you worship Dear Leader for being a billionaire, born into obscene wealth, and living in a golden tower, but it's Obama you're mad at, for having pulled himself up by his bootstraps into a nice life, you might just be a fucking racist

This is a hostage situation by global financial interests that don’t want governments elected that don’t serve their interests. When their preferred right wing government wins, they institute austerity and impoverish the population, case in point, Milei in Argentina.
