For all the talk about spoiler candidates this election, Ty Pinkins’ independent Senate candidacy in Mississippi could be pivotal. In a race that presently is separated by 28 votes, Pinkins has nearly 20,000.

Coach Cal being honest about the NIL. When the players are making more than the coaches, how do you get to them? How do you motivate them? Shoot when this comes to high schools, won’t take much for a 15/16 year old to make more than his head coach.

My start date with the Clarion Ledger was on Oct. 1, 2023. My last day would be exactly three years later. I learned today that USA Today eliminated my position covering Mississippi HS sports.
Calling it an honor would be an understatement. The people, players, coaches and fans welcomed me more than I can imagine. I sincerely thank you, Mississippi, for welcoming a young 22-year-old kid from New Mexico with open arms. All I wanted was a shot. The athletes across the state rank among the best in the country and rightfully deserve the coverage.
