My brother Geoff playing Johnny Mandel's 'Close Enough For Love' at a packed Pizza Express Live. Exquisite..
I only scored 14 of them but I think we put on 50 in Delhi ...
Bang on. it's a wonderful evening...
The first five-star play I've seen in quite a while. Ilford Boy is raw, raucous and terrific entertainment. @DonmarWarehouse

This clock stopped ticking at 09.13 on October 21st 1966 when a collapsing coal tip sent thousands of tonnes of slurry down the mountainside, killing 116 children and 28 adults. Always remembered. Never forgotten. Especially today #Aberfan60 #Aberfan #NeverForget 🏴

Did you miss the first Semi-Final of Brain of Britain at 4.30 this afternoon on @BBCRadio4? I had to unfortunately, but don't worry, it's repeated on Saturday 24th Oct. at 11.30pm. The nation's mug of intellectual cocoa! Cheers!
Just finished this on Sunday. It is exquisite. I cannot recall being more profoundly moved by a book for decades...

Almost no plot. Almost nothing to it at all. A love scene that never happens. No resolution because there is nothing really to resolve. Memory, loss, healing. Real joy, but fleeting. A painting uncovered as lots of other lovely things fade away. One of best books I’ve read for ages.
