So much misinformation even now. It is criminal. With the largest party Bibi has 28 days to attempt to form a coalition and peel 3-6 mandates off from Eisenkot, Bennett, Lieberman's parties if not their entire bloc. Bibi, the master, will play them off against eachother.

Bennett needs to rehabilitate public image as going into coalition with Arabs pre October 7th has pushed him out into third. If I was him I'd take Bibi's offer for national security with resumption of Iran war looming. No one wants a month of Eisenkot negotiating with the Arabs

The journalists have to come round to reality eventually xitter.cf/NadimKoteich/status/21…
The best ticket for Israel right now is @netanyahu + @naftalibennett. Bennett needs to drop some of the harder promises, play it as a mature ego and natural leader, and take the shot. That’s the path that makes him the clear future of Likud after Netanyahu and the one that actually serves the region, peace, pragmatism, and security at the same time.

Bennett has to be the opportunity for Bibi if he can't peel off individuals from various parties. Has cratered since going into coalition with Arabs and briefly becoming PM. This would've been another Bibi vs Bennett election if it hadn't been for that.

And yet the exact same will happen at the next election and the one after that and the one after that. And Amit will fall for it all over again. The price to pay to get paid a living to cover politics in the media and not having reach suppressed on Twitter.
The surprising results of the election makes me think about the parallel reality we’ve been living in for the past three years. If the polls were that far off, perhaps they were also wrong about what the public wanted on the hostage deal, the war and who should be prime minister. In other words, we’ve been living in a reality we thought was unfolding, when in fact a different one was unfolding. If you look at the vote shift itself, almost no seats moved from the Netanyahu bloc to the change bloc. The decline has three causes. First, the Arab vote increased by a dramatic one percentage point. Second, no votes were “wasted” on the Meretz and Balad side, as they were last time. And third, about 2.5 percent of the votes were “wasted” on the Netanyahu bloc’s side: Ofer Winter, a few scattered votes for Noam and Leitner, and the Ethiopian Immigrants Party.

The transition from “Eisenkot will have largest party”, “Eisenkot will have largest coalition bloc without Arabs”, “Eisenkot will have largest coalition with Arabs” transitions have been hilarious. Maximal cope.

Lol. These are brilliant
ISRAEL ELECTIONS: Interesting. Reports that Betzalel Smotrich has called an emergency party meeting to address high Israeli-Arab turnout. Is this to challenge votes? Is he suddenly worried about falling below threshold, though he has been well above for around a month?

While these tweets are still up and not deleted they make a fun read.
EISENKOT HQ: ERUPTS with 52-50 bloc edge over Netanyahu edge according to Chn. 12. Ch. 13 says 53-50. Ch. 11 53-50. Singing Eisenkot is next PM, though PM has more direct seats 22-20.

*For the good of national security. Ben Gvir stays as Minister of National Security

What is going on is the media and pollsters lie and manipulate every damn time. Amit is best of a bad bunch (at least he leaves his tweets up) and tbf to him he has to report on all the garbage polls rest of the media puts out. Even exit polls were garbage (apart from Channel 14)
What's going on here?

Don't listen to media and polling goldfish brains. How many times before you learn? Disappointed that Ben Gvir especially but Smotrich too didn't do better though. Not really moved in vote count from 2022 despite being legitimised and mainstreamed post October 7th.
Replying to @michaelfolkson
Don’t listen to media and polling. It’s always BS and skews left. The shy Trump/Bibi/Ben Gvir voter doesn’t tell left leaning pollsters they’re voting right. Too exhausting to defend your common sense against the demonization. Just don’t respond or say you’re a floating voter

Bibi's shadow looms large. The pitch "a vote for me is a vote to keep Bibi right wing" didn't seem to work when a vote for Bibi was a vote for Bibi.

A lot of @itamarbengvir bashing from the mediatchiks. If no one will sit with the Arabs who cares how the Arabs vote? Exit polls indicate underperformance for Ben Gvir but still suspect his actual results will be better than exit polls.
Ben Gvir brought hundreds of thousands of voters to the polls. Not just his own supporters, but Arab voters too.

He’ll be replaced eventually (everyone is eventually). And I hope his successor is Ben Gvir. But Bibi will forever be the master. Political genius.

On Twitter @netanyahu has 4.4 million followers. @itamarbengvir has 372K followers, @naftalibennett has 687K followers. @gadi_eisenkot has 22K. And Eisenkot is gonna win according to media/pollsters? Even with Twitter's s***y algorithm, bots etc that is quite the bridge to sell.

Media and pollsters want you to have memories of goldfish and they succeed with many people. My brain remembers Bibi not willing to be photographed with Ben Gvir, weekly mass judicial reform protests pre October 7th and then hostage psychodrama. 2026 Israel is a different country

It is 2004 here in Israel. After 9/11 try voting out Bush with Kerry. Good luck with that
