Decided to apply for Global Entry a while back because my TSA PreCheck was expiring this year and I figured why not? I’ve been conditionally approved for months, but the nearest interview location is 3 hours away. 🤦‍♂️ I guess that’s why not?

Bought my first 3D printer weeks ago w/intent of designing several custom fittings for my woodshop dust collection system. Instead, I've printed a dozen accessories for the printer/filament spools and just *one* DC fitting... and I've done no woodworking since. doh

Before assembly, I must first… disassemble.

Why are they called “knockouts” when they… don’t? Had to do some sketchy stuff to remove this “pry-in” from my electrical panel. Clearly whoever designed this must have assumed nobody would ever need to change anything after the initial work was done. 🤦‍♂️

Anyone else out there WFH in a windowless room and have any lighting tips? 🙂 The workarea is about 8’x8’.
Replying to @michaelmoussa
The best part about being done with this project is being done with this project. The worst part(s)? Setting up my workstation for the first time and realizing that my lighting setup kind sucks.

First Monday of my voluntary month-long funemployment! Looking forward to using it to spend time with my family and to work on the endless DIY project backlog I’ve amassed. Relax? Ha - no thank you! My butt has spent way too much time in a chair these past few years.

I have three 6” flush-mount LED downlights evenly spaced along the room. No matter how I orient my desk, I’d either have a super bright LED in my peripheral vision all day or reflect a ton of bright light off of my face during video calls.

Dimming the lights to the point where both of those issues are solved would make the room way too dark to the point where the light from the monitor would just feel way too bright. darnit.

You have a solid, flat surface where a hole should be? Drill issue.
Someone eating all your phytoplankton? Krill issue.

80% of the work on most of my projects lately seems to be figuring out what to do in spite of poor instructions. Manufacturer: “Connect brown wire to terminal 1 and blue wire to terminal 2” Also manufacturer: “lol let’s provide a cable with no brown or blue wires”
