Photographs and video spanning the History of Hyde road, the home of #ManchesterCity from 1887-1923. Part 1: From a young age, I always had a keen interest in this #football ground, where I would find myself trying to find as many photographs of this once remarkable place.

So I have been having a little look at the people who run some of the Welsh anti-20mph Facebook groups. It seems that many of them a run by Tory politicians.... who live in England....and support 20mph where they live.... Let's go on a journey (at a very safe speed). [Thread]

i think craig & anton require ellie and vito to actually bang on the dancefloor and then punch eachother in the face, for it to count as intimacy and intensity.

I don't do political polls much, but I'm curious: Of all the issues currently facing the UK, is the stopping of migrant boats crossing The Channel YOUR number one concern? Please RT for a wider reach.

I was paintballing on a stag party in Poland. During a break, one of the instructors mentioned how British men my age rarely needed to be shouted at to keep our goggles on, though he didn't know why. So I explained Byker Grove to him. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-ty…

Always proud of our NHS and grateful for their services from my very early birth until today when I get hospital and GP support for a number of conditions. But today I’m also proud to be an employee of NHS Education for Scotland. #NHS75 #NHS75Women #NHSBirthday

Did you know—under current rules, most MPs aren’t allowed to correct the official record even if they wanted to? And those who can too often choose not to. This isn’t good enough. We’re campaigning to fix this. Help us reach 50,000 signatures today actions.fullfact.org/petitio… 🧵1/5

Peggy (my dog!): does not understand or obey “sit” “stay” or come when her own name is called. Also Peggy: knows that “what’ve you got there?” means “run off under the sofa with whatever I’ve stolen”. Also understands “do you want some breakfast/lunch/dinner”.

I love these trees. One of the loveliest sights in the spring sunshine.
It’s our favourite time of year with the beautiful purple blossom trees outside Central Library. We are often asked what these trees are. They are Paulownia Tomentosa, the Princess Tree. #blossomwatch
