When leaders believe in a vision, communities thrive. We are grateful for the support of @isioloCounty011 deputy Governor and county team, towards the Community Resource Centre initiative, an investment that will unlock opportunities and improve the livelihood of our communities.
Communities leading their own development!
Today, @midpkenya under the Reversing the Flow (RtF) Programme, handed over KES 18.95M to support 13 community-led projects across five wards of Isiolo County.
Of the 13 projects, 88% focus on water supply.

The projects were from Chari, Cherab, Garbatulla, Sericho and Kinna wards.
This wasn't top-down. It was community-driven from day one.
✅ 31 proposals developed by community
✅ 20 reviewed by the cluster Committee
✅ 13 approved by the landscape committee
This is what Locally Led Development looks like in practice: communities identifying their own priorities, designing their own solutions, and making the decisions.

In Merti, Maku Cooperative is taking action against Mathenge invasion, having cleared 300m² of land for its upcoming livestock feedlot quarantine section, with another 250 acres awaiting clearance.
Restoring land, reclaiming livelihoods!
Today, the Crisis Modifier Project kicked off in Isiolo under the RANGE Programme @RANGEprogramme funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands with MID-P as the local implementing partner.
The first activity was Youth-led drainage clearance through Cash-for-Work to reduce flood risks and strengthen community preparedness for the upcoming El-Nino.

@midpkenya together with @KenyaRedCross , held an inception meeting for a 3-month Crisis Modifier project under the @RANGEprogramme. The project is about preparing the communities in Burat, Ngaremara, Kinna and Chari wards on #ElNiño preparedness.
