France is allocating €200 million to support Ukraine’s energy restoration, housing, healthcare, and demining efforts under the Ukraine Fund. In Paris, we presented the first 19 projects selected for implementation—fast-tracked for completion within 16 months. These initiatives will equip hospitals, modernize energy infrastructure, rebuild homes, and strengthen mine clearance operations. Demand far exceeds funding, with applications already reaching €600 million. We hope for expansion, as Ukraine’s reconstruction is an investment in security and resilience. We are grateful to France’s government and private sector for their commitment. Together, we are rebuilding Ukraine.

Ukraine is building a powerful network of economic partnerships, and Italy is now an even stronger ally in this journey. At a major business forum in Italy «On the road to URC», alongside Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, we welcomed Italy as the 37th member of the SME Resilience Alliance—a critical step in expanding opportunities for Ukrainian businesses. With over €7 billion in support from all Alliance participants—including €3.9 billion for new projects—Ukraine’s small and medium-sized businesses will gain access to financing, training, regulatory improvements, and new market entry opportunities. We are already working to ensure Ukrainian companies make full use of these resources. Today’s event also mark the first milestone in our preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC) in Rome, where over 700 companies from 23 countries gathered, including more than 100 Ukrainian enterprises. Italy’s participation brings fresh momentum, unlocking new trade, investment, and recovery projects. Ukraine is not just rebuilding—it is opening new trade corridors, strengthening industrial ties, and creating a modern, competitive economy. Every new partnership strengthens our resilience and growth. A sincere thank you to Italy for its unwavering support since the first days of the full-scale invasion. Together, we are shaping a stronger, more prosperous future.

Türkiye is ready to take an even more active role not only rebuilding Ukraine, but in strengthening our cooperation in the agricultural sector. A day after the historic signing of the Economic Cooperation Agreement with the UAE and productive meetings in Saudi Arabia, today I am in Türkiye – another key partner and neighbor. We continue to strengthen strategic partnerships in the region. According to Türkiye’s Minister of Trade, Ömer Bolat @omerbolatTR, Ankara is interested in expanding bilateral trade. Last year, imports from Ukraine to Türkiye amounted to $2 billion, while total trade between our countries reached $6.2 billion. The shared goal is to increase this figure to $10 billion, particularly by expanding the already substantial trade in agricultural products as well as other sectors. With Turkish companies already actively contributing to Ukraine’s reconstruction, we discussed further steps, including how they can access financial instruments to support these efforts. I also thanked the Minister for the decision to ensure maximum access for Ukrainian vessels to Turkish ports. In March, we expect a visit from the Turkish delegation to Ukraine to further deepen cooperation between our private sectors in rebuilding our country.

Ukraine's +26% rise in export growth to Saudi Arabia in 2024 is only one data point among a multi-faceted and growing economic partnership. Today, we began our working visit of the Ukrainian delegation to Saudi Arabia with a meeting attended by nearly a hundred local entrepreneurs. We presented projects in energy, agriculture, and infrastructure, along with large-scale initiatives in public–private partnerships and attractive privatization opportunities. In the coming days, we will hold dozens of meetings to prepare for President Zelenskyy’s visit to Saudi Arabia. In particular, we are working on the signing of important economic agreements with Middle Eastern countries. Saudi Arabia actively supports Ukraine, having allocated $500 million for Ukraine’s recovery, along with both humanitarian and economic assistance. Our joint efforts are already yielding results. Though gradual, progress is evident: exports to Saudi Arabia increased from $291 million in 2023 to $368 million in 2024, with clear expectations of further growth this year. While we have not yet reached pre-war levels, I am hopeful that we will, with business forums like this playing a crucial role. And I would like to my gratitude to the Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia @Khalid_AlFalih for such a productive business forum.

As Ukraine continues to defend its sovereignty, we are also laying the foundation of resiliency for the future. On the sidelines of @wef, together with the Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research of Switzerland, @ParmelinG, we signed a Memorandum on the allocation of the first 50 million francs from this package. The first stage of application selection for businesses will begin soon. 🇺🇦 @dtek_en and 🇩🇰 @Vestas in Davos have signed a €450 million agreement to expand the Tyligulska Wind Power Plant in Mykolaiv region. This is the largest private investment project in Ukraine's energy sector since the beginning of the full-scale war. We discussed Japan's invaluable support for 🇺🇦 reconstruction efforts, financial assistance, four missions of Japanese businesses to Ukraine, the new #JETRO office in Kyiv, the project with UNIDO on transferring 🇯🇵 technologies to 🇺🇦, as well as 30+ other projects through international organizations to support Ukraine.
