I don’t know why religious people pretend to hate Halloween so much. It’s fun to dress up and pretend to be someone else. Hell, they do it every Sunday.

There are no 'chosen people'. No country is above criticism. Genocide is a crime.

Protecting your child comes before protecting an adult's ego, period. You handled that perfectly.

He intended to kill Helen Haines. This is more than 'political violence' - it is a violent man choosing to kill a woman. This is male terrorism.
Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke says the man in custody allegedly rammed Dr Haines twice in the car park outside her Victorian electorate office.
He performed a U-turn to do this and then he reversed and hit her again.
Right now, everyone is labelling his actions as a political act. But this is so much more. His intention was clear - to murder a woman.
Gendered violence is Australia's biggest human rights violation and it is also epidemic in our country.
We need to start labelling these acts for what they are. Male terrorism against women.

This week I’ve seen men ridicule women for dressing “too provocatively” and other men ridicule Muslim women for dressing “too conservatively,” and its a reminder that maybe men should shut the hell up, stop worrying about how women dress, and instead expend their energy on getting men to stop raping and abusing women. This is not a high bar.

I was curious why I was seeing bats in the trees in my front yard during the day and I googled it. Apparently it's due to habitate loss and food shortage. So I just cut up an apple and took it out the front. Poor bats

All our thoughts are with @helenhainesindi and her family today, in the aftermath of what looks like a deliberate and violent attack.
While it’s too soon to know what happened or why, it seems clear to MFW that the way most media in this country have so staunchly promoted, defended or at the very least ignored the despicable ongoing violence and hate applauded or committed by Donald Trump’s goons and followers; the instigators of genocide and war; and the disgusting behaviour of other far-right individuals and entities in recent years must be at least partly responsible for a recent increase in more overt terror-driven and political violence.
We beg the Australian media to think more deeply about their refusal to condemn violent politicians and governments and other fascistic deadshits everywhere. If they refuse to, they’re complicit in the rising future threat to many people via their despicable and cowardly silence.
We’re so sorry, Helen.

The reason the world is upset with Israel is because of the 700,000+ innocent Palestinians they've murdered.
It's not because they're Jewish.
Hope that helps.

Seems to me men weren't mad when women were working at scrubbing people's houses, working in laundries, or toiling in hot, sweaty factories.
It's only when women got to use their brains and make good money that men got mad about women working.
