Ok @easyyet we are finally home after a 26.5 hour delay with no accommodation or assistance offered, almost no and poor communication plus multiple errors (new flight information/updates etc), can you advise on how we claim compensation for this horrendous ordeal #notsoeasyjet
So looks like @easyjet are blaming several different "circumstances beyond their control" on the same night to avoid compensation payouts. Which is it? Gatwick weather or heraklion visibility? And why only your flights?

Any news on what has happened in Heraklion @easyjet? There are no reps here at the airport. Everyone has been ejected from departures and told by the airport customer service team that EasyJet has advised to book new flights. Flights are like hen’s teeth. Very tired passengers.
Ground crew at Heraklion claim flight cancelled. Easyjet tracker says delayed overnight so they will find us a hotel and let us know when flight is rebooked tomorrow. Easyjet on phone claim it is just delayed. Can we please have an update? Families with kids here sat on the floor

I did similar. I was about to administer his booster, when a man burst into tears. I put the needle down, and let him talk. He had been seriously ill with covid in ICU and was traumatised that he was only one of two that survived from there. I too, gave him a hug. @Dienekes_
