„Well, I’m not very good.“
„No, you are. Looked very, uh, elegant.“
„Oh? Thanks.“
Will smiles, pleased.
Max doesn’t even try to hide her eyeroll. „Can you stop your weird-ass flirting and drive us home, Wheeler?“
Mike scowls but nods, grabbing Will‘s bag. „Yeah, let‘s go.“
Mike immediately wraps Will in his jacket and hands him a water bottle.
Will smiles up at him. „You sure you weren‘t bored?“
„I swear.“ His dark eyes flicker down once - the hem of the shorts and the honey-colored skin underneath are still visible. „Loved watching you play.“+
Will rolls his eyes but doesn’t disagree; she‘s honestly right. Just last week, he hit his elbow against a door knob and Mike was utterly distressed over the little scuff mark on his skin.
They manage their longest rally so far, then decide to stop and join Mike at the benches +
Mike reaches out to pick a piece of lint off Will‘s shirt, before he makes himself turn away, to sit back down.
Will & Max play another round; once, he stumbles but manages to regain his balance.
„Careful“, Max warns, „if you fall and scrape your knee, he‘ll have a heart attack“+
„Dude“, Max interjects, „stop smothering him and sit back down.“
Mike flips her off, not taking his eyes off Will, his gaze intense, questioning
„'m fine, Mike. And I am having fun- what about you? Are you bored?“
„No. Definitely not.“
„Oh.“ Will blinks, then smiles. „Okay, good“+
„Your laces came undone“, he says, promply dropping to his knees to reach for Will‘s left shoe.
„Oh“, Will makes, watching Mike re-tie the laces. „Thanks, Mike.“
Mike pulls them tight, then straightens again. „No problem. Are you having fun? Do you want some water?“ +
They both look over to Mike now; he got up and is jogging towards them.
Max groans. „God, what now?“
He reaches them, panting, his dark curls tousled.
„Are you seriously out of breath from running four steps?“, Max asks. „Loser.“
Mike ignores her and turns to Will, worriedly+
Mike waves at him as soon as he sees him looking. Will waves back, blushing.„No, he‘s not- don‘t say that.“
She snorts. „Oh, he is. Trust me, I‘ve got 20/20 vision. Let‘s go again?“
Will nods, lifting his racket. Before Max can serve, she‘s interrupted by a voice shouting ‚wait‘+
Will just rolls his eyes. „He’s gonna drive us back after, remember? There‘s no point in driving back and forth, so he said he’ll just stay and watch.“
„Mhm.“ She throws the ball in the air once and catches it again. „He‘s also drooling.“
Will glances towards the benches; +

Max looks over to the benches. „Homotron is staring at you.“ +
#collegebyler pre-relationship, where Will and Max want to try playing tennis; Will steps into Mike’s room to show him the outfit he plans on wearing: a pristine white t-shirt with a neat little collar, paired with TINY matching shorts - high-cut, soft cotton, worn at the edges +

Mike clenches his teeth at that, but nods. „Totally.“
„Are you sure you’re okay? Your pupils are huge.“
„Uh-huh.“ Mike finally lets go of Will‘s waist to turn away, grabbing Will‘s bag and an extra jacket, just in case. „I‘m great. Let‘s go.“
„Please? I really want to. Please let me drive you.“
His grip tightens, pulling Will closer until he has to tilt back his head.
„Don‘t you have to finish that assignment?“
Mike blinks. „No, that‘s next week.“
Will narrows his gaze. „Right… sure. You can drive me +
Will frowns. „Mike? Are you okay? I‘ve got to go now; we‘re gonna take the tram -“
„No.“
Giving a little huff, Will crosses his arms in front of his chest, but doesn’t try to free himself from Mike‘s grip. „What now?“
„I‘ll drive you.“
„You don‘t have to.“ +
