🚨 BREAKING: Alabama prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for all eight people charged in the torture and execution of 20-year-old Mahogany Jackson in Birmingham. Jackson was handcuffed, stripped, and subjected to hours of abuse that the suspects filmed. She texted family early on February 25 that she was being held hostage. Video later showed her being stomped on, spit on, dragged naked by her hair toward a car trunk, and forced to perform sex acts at gunpoint. She was shot in the back of the head and her body dumped at a site known locally as “Dead Man’s Road.” The eight indicted on capital murder, kidnapping, and sodomy: Giovonnie Clapp, Blair Green, Teja Lewis, Si’Niya McCall, Airana Robinson, Brandon Pope, Francis Harris, and Jeremiah McDowell. Veteran investigators called it one of the most gruesome cases they’ve ever seen. Prosecutors are moving forward with no mercy. Death penalty for all of them.

At least 64 people have been killed and 58 hospitalized after two high-speed trains collided in Spain. The crash happened near Toledo when one train slammed into the back of another that had stopped on the tracks. The impact tore through the carriages, derailing two of them and leaving passengers trapped in the wreckage. Witnesses described desperate scenes as people tried escaping through windows while bystanders rushed to help. Rescue crews continue searching the wreckage for survivors and victims. The tragedy marks Spain's second deadly high-speed train crash this year. Rescue crews are still combing through the wreckage as questions grow over what caused the deadly collision. A baby boy was strapped inside his stroller when a powerful gust of wind sent it rolling straight toward a busy road. His great-aunt desperately chased after him, but fell hard onto the pavement. As cars sped past just ahead, she could only watch helplessly as the stroller kept rolling. But someone across the parking lot had spotted what was happening, and suddenly took off running. It happened in Hesperia, California. A woman was standing beside her car with her great-nephew in his stroller when a sudden gust of wind pushed it away from her. She immediately ran after it, but lost her footing and fell hard onto the asphalt. She struggled to get back up, only to fall again, helplessly watching the baby roll farther away. Just across the parking lot, Ron Nessman had been waiting outside a nearby car wash after a job interview. He spotted the runaway stroller and realized it was heading straight toward the road. Without hesitating, he took off running, desperately trying to close the distance before the stroller reached the passing vehicles. The entire terrifying moment was captured on a security camera. As the stroller approached the edge of the parking lot, Ron caught up and grabbed the handle, stopping it before it entered the street. He then carefully brought the baby back to his shaken great-aunt, who was overcome with relief. But what makes Ron’s story even more remarkable is what he had been going through himself. After losing his girlfriend, he had struggled with homelessness and was working to rebuild his life. That day, he had been trying to get a job. Instead, he found himself in the right place at exactly the right moment to save a little boy. The rescue video spread across the country, and Ron later received news that he’d gotten the job he had interviewed for. A man who was trying to turn his own life around had just become someone else’s hero. Men like Ron remind us all that good people still exist. Let’s make sure he gets the recognition he deserves.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Walter Koenig’s passing. Although we did not know each other well away from the set, we shared the later seasons of the original Star Trek series and the six films that followed. What I observed, and what so many fans have expressed over the years, was a man who genuinely loved the Star Trek community. At conventions, Walter was rarely content to remain behind a signing table. He preferred to be among the people who had kept Star Trek alive for so many decades. That kind of genuine connection is rare, and it will be remembered by everyone who came into contact with him. My condolences to his family, his friends, and the countless fans whose lives he touched.

Friends, Samuel Sey (@SlowToWrite) is literally family to me. Our wives are first cousins. I was at his wedding and can vouch for his character. He is a good man, a man of Faith, a husband and a father. We believe this is a clerical error made by law enforcement that will cost his family a lot of time and money to sort out. This is especially hard on his wife and 3 young children, and entering the holiday season no less. We don’t know how long they will be separated. Please consider helping my family in this time of need and pray for God to use this whole situation for His glory. givesendgo.com/support-for-s…

J.K. Rowling could have kept quiet, banked her billions and stayed everyone's favourite author. She didn't. She put her name, her reputation and her own money on the line for women. She founded Beira's Place, a women-only centre in Edinburgh for survivors of sexual violence. She has funded legal fights to protect women's rights and women-only spaces. And she has given a voice to women who were too scared to speak. For that she has faced years of death threats, rape threats and torture threats. She hasn't flinched once. That's not just a literary legend. That's a hero for women everywhere. 👏🇬🇧

🚨WOW!!!! A man who was driving home from work, found an elderly woman was FACE DOWN in the middle of the road in a puddle.. ...he pulled over, sprinted to her and helped her get up and likely saved her life The man's name is Ryan Carter. He was driving home from work in Martin County, Florida, when he saw something in the road that didn't look right. It was an elderly woman. She'd hit a water-filled pothole with her walker and gone down face-first into it. She was still strapped into the seat of her rolling walker. Face down. In the water. Nobody else had stopped. Ryan had recently taken a class on Florida's Good Samaritan law. So before he touched her, he started recording on his glasses. Not for clout. To protect her, and to protect himself, so he could help her the right way. Then he got down next to her and asked what she needed. She couldn't move… and she still didn't want to be a burden to anybody. 💔 So he stayed calm, talked her through it, counted her down, and lifted her out from under her arms. He got her seated. He pushed her away from the hole. Then he told her he was going to get her a cup of water. He drove her home himself. Then he CALLED HER LATER to make sure she was okay. "I saw somebody in a desperate situation, and I just wanted to be the hand that she could depend on." When he got home, he mentioned it to his wife like it was nothing. She watched the footage and realized he hadn't just helped that woman... he may have saved her life. GOD BLESS RYAN CARTER, THIS IS THE AMERICA I KNOW!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Bend, Oregon man who shot and killed a shooter at his daughters' school speaks out, praises female teacher for fighting the shooter, allowing him to have a clear shot. Kaylub Giamanco says he is haunted by the sound of children pleading for their lives. He also praised the teacher for grabbing the gunman's weapon, allowing him to take a shot at the shooter. "I want to recognize [the teacher]. She gave me the opportunity to make my shot without losing my life..." "I swung the door open, and I stepped in, and I fired, and they dropped to the ground... I looked down at the gunman, and he was scrambling for his weapon. And I looked at him, and I shot him 2 more times..."
