This is really too on the nose: @Gannett’s job postings for scabs to replace us fail to provide compensation range, a direct violation of state labor law. They can’t even *not* employ people right. CC @NYSDOLCommish

Here lies @ACLU_DC’s 4-day work week.
Beloved by many. Killed by management after we unionized.
Yesterday, we went to the office and paid our respects to this life-changing benefit. Now, we’re calling on management to return to the table to bargain in good faith to revive it.
ALT Memorial for the ACLU-DC’s 4-day work week. There is a mock headstone that says “RIP 4 day work week. Beloved by many. Killed by management. Bargain to bring and back,” a stuffed animal, a planner with all the Fridays circled in marker and a picture of the unit attached, fairy lights, a cardboard coffin, and a poster with a quote from John Lewis: If you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have a moral obligation to do something about it.”

Now in his official capacity as Senator, Josh Hawley has signed an amicus brief demanding that the Supreme Court end a temporary injunction blocking the ruling (in his wife's lawsuit) by a federal judge (his campaign donor) to ban America's most commonly-used abortion medication.

BREAKING: The DOJ and DOT are set to block JetBlue and Spirit’s $3.8 billion merger.
Four airlines already control 82% of the U.S. market.
If JetBlue is allowed to buy up one of the few budget airlines, it would cut flights and hike prices industry-wide.

It also gave final approval to laws that:
▪️ enshrine rights to abortion for people over 16
▪️ let trans people over 16 self-identify gender by simple declaration, one of the only places to do so

While I am at home for my isolation period, I am going to be radically resting and not trying to work remotely through this.
Rest during the acute phase of COVID19 might be a protective factor against developing Long COVID later, so it's really important to do this if you can.
