Fantastic paper this AM from @danmthomp & @Apoorva__Lal on turnout & partisan impacts of private election funding (Zuck/CTCL, etc). They find that the $ _barely_ increased turnout & Dem vote share. TLDR: "We find that the fx are not large enough to have swung the 2020 election"

As Rep. John Lewis said: “The right to vote is precious, almost sacred. It is the most powerful nonviolent tool or instrument we have in a democratic society." As we mark 30 years of the NVRA this week, honor those who risked their lives for democracy. Register to vote. #NVRA30

I was happy to help write this brief, on one of the most glaring and arbitrary forms of disenfranchisement in modern times. Americans who move ABROAD can still vote absentee in their former states, while Americans who move to U.S. TERRITORIES can’t.
Today ELC, along with @CampaignLegal, filed an amici brief in support of Plaintiffs in Borja v. Nago agreeing that UOCAVA and UMOVA are unconstitutional because they severely and unjustifiably burden the right to vote.
