After 8.5 years at NowThis, I was laid off today along with many of my talented colleagues. I’ve produced thousands of videos and connected w/ so many amazing people. It was rough finding this out at 1AM, but I am excited to see what’s next for me. Until then my DMs are open.

Anyway, if you’ve made it this far, I put everything I had into this job. There were some really, really fun days and really, really dark days. I did everything right. But I still got the boot. To everyone affected, keep your heads up. It was a pleasure working with you all.

It's insane that after more than a year mgmt hasn't budged on this considering NT's videos on fair pay and unionization efforts around the country.
The incredible work done at this company deserves an equally incredible contract.
After bargaining for more than a year, management still doesn’t want to agree to some pretty basic asks. With the @voxunion in the midst of carving out a better future, we're joining them in the fight to finally secure ours. We deserve a fair contract. Now.

I left @nowthisnews in June 2020 for similar reasons outlined in this video, and have watched v v v many of my former peers leave in the last two years. Many of us wouldn't have left if this wasn't the case! Losing top talent in an already shrinking industry!
