That's my cue. I've had enough social media for one life 👋
The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei.

We live in a world where my bank sent me a paper letter, across the ocean, to notify me that they would be sending me an email message and that I could opt-out of email...

Last week I went into a local year 6 class (5th grade) and used showoff.riesd.com to teach about programming. 3 days later, I noticed that some of the kids had logged on later from home and made additional drawings with edits by one of their younger sisters ❤️ 💛 💙 💚 💜

Building a project with Salesforce as a partner feels a bit surreal. My day job is getting pretty interesting

AxonOnnx is a library for converting models between ONNX and Axon. Of note, AxonOnnx supports all currently supported ONNX @huggingface transformer models! This means you can import some powerful pre-trained models and work with them directly in Elixir!

Yes! It's fine to do a lot of complicated work for your callers, but only if the intent is clear, otherwise future changes will miss the nuance and break expectations
...basically, being explicit means you need to clearly state your intent, which makes you more mindful of what you're doing. When a lib gives you a lot of convenience through implicit magic, it increases the risk of making mistakes. It's not about more code vs less code.
Having survived two previous market resets (2001, 2009), people frequently ask me how this 2022 market reset is different and how it is the same. The obvious similarity is that valuation multiples have collapsed. We went from a "glass very full" mindset to one with many concerns.

Sorry, but we can't stay silent on this one, it's just far too cynical. What 🇷🇺 is doing in 🇺🇦 is slaughtering innocent children, women and men for its own gain. It's definitely not "fighting Nazism". Shame on anyone who's falling for this. (Sadly, we're kinda experts on Nazism.)

This is my personal address to @RussianEmbFinla, Russian people and the Russian Federation. I am a citizen of Finland, and I was born here, but my family hasn’t always been so. As I child I asked my parents why so many do ask if I was Finnish. This is the story I learnt.1/20

For about a year and a half, I worked at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum here in D.C. as a visitor services representative. On my first day, I was walking with my supervisor, who nudged me at one point and said: "See that guy? That's Henry. Make sure you talk to him." (thread)

A great question to ask when you feel stressed or rushed
Mystery: "Get it done faster/sooner/more" Why? What happens after we get it done faster/sooner/more? I need to remember to ask this question. If there's no good answer then this is just someone pushing their anxiety down a power gradient.
