The next wave of AI capacity doesn’t have to be a mega data center. A modular data center here. A GPU at home there. Akash connects that supply to buyers, through the open marketplace and Homenode. Positive sentiment is earned when everyone can get a stake in AI’s future.
Last night's datacenter moratorium/restrictions appear to have gone 43 - 1, with a massive swell of public support averaging 77% to shut it all down. Public sentiment on on AI in America has been going steadily downhill for three years. It is once again at a new low.

Just another day at @akashnet This team never stops shipping… Stick with builders and $AKT
Using Akash Console with other people used to mean sharing one login. No more. Organizations are live for everyone. Invite teammates by email, and group deployments into projects behind one app or service. Akash Console, built for teams running real workloads.

“So your Coldcard was hacked in July?” “Yes.” “And Liquid was hacked in September?” “Yeah.” “And your Ledger was hacked in October?” “Yes, Dave.” “And yesterday the largest crypto exchange in the world had the biggest hack in history?” “Yes, that’s right.” “And you’re still buying bitcoin?” “That is correct, Dave.”

$AKT community passed the proposal in record time. Akash moving to Solana is now official. (There is still a small chance voters can change their decision but unlikely) mintscan.io/akash/proposals/…
Akash was built on one belief: the cloud should belong to everyone. The Akash core team believes our next chapter is on Solana, where the DePIN movement thrives. This is your network, so you decide. Vote on Prop 346: mintscan.io/akash/proposals/… Why Solana: akash.network/blog/why-we-se…

Three things I don't love about the current market set up: 1) Hyperscaler credit spreads have broken above their July (Leopold Liquidation) wides (chart below). 2) Index momentum has stalled and entered a consolidation. 3) Financials/Staples ratio falling apart.

Seems pretty notable that despite all of the pivots to AI from miners, hash rate for bitcoin is quietly almost back at record highs

Before: tankers filled Iran’s main oil-loading terminal. After: no crude tankers in sight. Kharg Island is now nothing more than a monument to the one thing the Iranian regime can still produce: failure. The regime’s arrogance and belligerence continue to punish ordinary Iranians. Operation Economic Outcast is cutting off the regime’s oil lifeline, denying it resources to fund terrorism, nuclear procurement, and the lavish lifestyles of the IRGC elite.

Hyperscaler capex has grown faster than during any earlier investment boom, including the canal mania, the railway boom, the Roaring Twenties, and the dot-com era. @reuters @soberlook thedailyshot.com/subscribe/

Ken Griffin calling AI a bubble so he can liquidate Leopold for a second time
BREAKING: Citadel founder Ken Griffin says AI is "almost certainly" a bubble, noting that companies are struggling to turn AI spending into productivity gains. However, Griffin says he is bullish on AI's long-term potential.

This is really pretty incredible. US household holdings of equities and mutual funds reached a record 278% of disposable personal income in the second quarter of 2026, up from just 29% in 1982, amplifying the stock market’s influence on consumer spending and economic activity.

if you aren't paying attention to venice ai, you should be. - 5 million users - API Calls are up 400% since July this is fueling $10.4M/yr burn for base:0xacfe6019ed1a7dc6f7b508c02d1b04ec88cc21bf
Today, Venice passed 5,000,000 users. Still private. Still anonymous. Still unrestricted. Thank you to every builder, creator, and free thinker on Venice.

Subsidized APIs hide the cost of intelligence. That bill is coming due. Chips are scarce. Energy is scarce. Subsidies will shrink. The market reshuffles around whatever delivers intelligence most efficiently. Akash is where idle GPUs surface. Owners earn. Builders pay less.
Replying to @SemiAnalysis_
This is partly due to OpenAI halving the API-equivalent value of their Pro 200 plan last week. But even before that, they were still less generous than Anthropic. (4/6)

AkashML now averages 26M requests a week, double the 13M it averaged from mid-July to early August. 260M requests in three months, served on Akash GPUs. As open models close in on the frontier and agents take on more work, demand keeps climbing.

The next six weeks are Bitcoin's best six weeks of the year. October: green 10 of 13 years, median +13%. Only 3 red Octobers ever — back-to-back red has never happened. Sitting at -1.5% with two weeks left. November: green 8 of 12, median +11%. The best month on record. They call it Moonvember. Two of the three best months, back to back. The calendar is the bull case.

You can see that the market is moving towards a framework where: AI capex fears / memory glut / AI payoff questions lead to selling of the various favorites (CRWV, ORCL, MU, SNDK) and if that move becomes large enough, bonds start to rally. This makes sense to me. The US economy is riding high like a one-legged stool with AI capex just about the entire story for the stock market and for GDP. If the financial vibes wobble, the real economy side is going to wobble too.
