SHE WAKES UP SCREAMING
A grandmother of 8 still wakes up screaming at night.
@postoffice prosecuted her in open court, which is a very efficient way to inform a whole village.
Allison Henderson ran the small village post office in Worstead, Norfolk. In 2010 a Post Office's computer, said £12K was missing. Computers never get things wrong, so naturally she was the suspect..
Auditors arrived on 10 February 2010 and first said £18K was gone. A couple of hours later the figure fell to £12K, the fastest discount in Norfolk. She was suspended without pay that same day..
She says Post Office investigators then accused her of theft and marched her to the car park to see if her cheap Proton was worth taking.
Her lawyers advised her to plead guilty to false accounting, which means signing off figures that were wrong, so the theft charge would be dropped. She says she was terrified of prison and was told not to mention Horizon in court..
A fair trial with the only relevant topic banned.
On 15 December 2010 she got 200 hours of unpaid work and £1,400 in costs. Her own lawyers cost another £7K, and her husband took out a loan to repay the £12K. She says she repaid around £15K in total for money she never took, and customer satisfaction was not surveyed..
The court said 200 hours. Post Office added a lifetime at no extra charge.. She says she still wakes up screaming and takes antidepressants. She says old friends crossed the road to avoid her, and that she once considered taking her own life.
Her husband quit as chair of the parish council. Her cleaning business folded when a customer asked for a background check, and in 2016 they left the village. Her 8 grandchildren were told nothing for 11 years.
On 23 April 2021 the Court of Appeal quashed her conviction along with 38 others, known as the Post Office 39. The court said Post Office knew there were serious issues with Horizon and had a clear duty to investigate. Good to see a court explain that investigating is part of the job.
A Post Office case review in 2014 noted she had never admitted false accounting before pleading guilty. In December 2014 her MP Norman Lamb @normanlamb wrote to Post Office boss Paula Vennells @PaulaVennells1 about her case. Her conviction stood for another 6 years.
Rob Wilson, the former Post Office head of criminal law, was questioned at the public inquiry about her case. He also accepted it was his stated view that Post Office should grit its teeth and keep prosecuting.

Channel 4 Dispatches went undercover inside the Financial Ombudsman Service @financialombuds. What they filmed should have shut the place down.
Their own staff said this on camera:
"I'm not proud to admit it but I've done it myself. Just taken a chance and just slung stuff through, with any old decision."
"You're more likely to meet your targets if you're not upholding them."
11,000 cases fell into a black hole for two years. Some of those letters said "I am going to lose my house."
@UKParliament demanded answers. Baroness Ros Altmann called it shocking. MPs threatened a full inquiry.
FOS said the footage was "not representative."
Nothing changed.
Fast forward to today. My own complaint against @rsagroup / @IntactInsurance is now being formally handled by Gary Smith @G8GWS of @MeridianLegals.
Gary is the lawyer leading the FOS Litigation Group, a group built on over 1,000 documented FOS failures. He is preparing a judicial review of the FOS.
My case has been submitted by Meridian as my regulated representative because what happened to me fits the same pattern Channel 4 filmed.
If you have had a complaint dismissed by the FOS and you believe it was handled without proper scrutiny, contact Gary directly at Meridian Legal Services.

I have absolutely no idea why my entire timeline is not talking about this right now.
Jeffrey Donaldson was the most powerful politician in Northern Ireland. He spent decades lecturing the entire country on moral standards and conservative values.

🚨 EXPOSED: ANDY BURNHAM HANDED 55 MILLION POUNDS OF TAXPAYER CASH TO MAN CITY OWNERS!
Remember when Burnham panicked on national television last month to fiercely defend Manchester City against Premier League financial cheating charges?
Now I have the official paper trail explaining exactly why he acts like a dedicated public relations agent for the United Arab Emirates!
Official records prove that during his time as mayor, Burnham personally chaired the meetings that handed 55 million pounds in taxpayer loans to Jersey based property companies ultimately controlled by Man City owner Sheikh Mansour.
This cash was drained straight out of a 300 million pound state housing fund supposedly reserved for struggling local developers.
Instead of helping British builders construct homes, Burnham rubber stamped a massive taxpayer loan for the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates!
Sheikh Mansour is one of the richest men on the planet and could secure private corporate finance in thirty seconds.
Yet Burnham gave a foreign billionaire preferential access to a public cash machine funded entirely by your hard earned wages!!!!!
Labour politicians are bleeding the domestic working class dry with brutal taxes while secretly operating a VIP fast lane for Middle Eastern royalty.
Retweet this investigation immediately to expose Andy Burnham and demand a full parliamentary inquiry into this Man City money scandal. 🇬🇧🔥

An Irishman named Andy Farrell who has been on the streets asked me to share his story with you today, warts and all:
"On 29th december after living in galway for 5 years or so i went in to a rehab centre in limerick. When i completed it I went in to a transition house also in limerick. Towards the end of july i relapsed and was asked to leave the transition house where i spent a few weeks on the streets of limerick. I take full accountability for my actions i put myself there by drinking unfortunately. A few weeks after this i got a bus to waterford where i jumped in to the river to take my own life.
This was unsuccessful and i was pulled from the water and admitted to hospital. 1 week later i was discharged to see a mental health team in waterford. I asked not to be discharged as i didnt feel ready and told them i would jump in again.
They discharged me and that night i jumped in to the river again, again it was unsuccesful. I also had been drinking through this time. When i got out of hospital i sought help from waterford county council but they told me i had no local connection and they wouldnt be able to help me on any shape or form. And to go to either to galway where my previous address had been or wicklow county council where my mam dad and sister have lived for over 10 and 20 years. That would qualify as a local connection. When i contacted Galway county council they said my application has been closed over a year that there was no need for me to go back there.
So after 5 weeks on the streets of waterford, i made a decision to travel to wicklow county council to seek help. I travelled up on thursday 1st October. I filled out a housing application form and they done a brief homeless assesment on me and i was told i couldnt avail of the emergency homeless services and to go back to waterford. When i rang waterford they told me to stay in wicklow. So after emails back and forth they invited me for another assesment on tuesday 6th of October. Bearing in mind by then i slept another 5 nights on the street.
When I went to the homeless assesment on Tuesday i met with a woman called Winifred and a man called Anthony where they asked me a series of questions pretty irrelevant to my application. The end result they said that my local connection wasnt strong enough. Even though by their own papers and legislation it says if a family memeber lives in the county for more than 2 continous years, this is provided as a local connection. When i asked what am i going to do winifred advised me to go to bray to avail of a tent and a sleeping bag and sleep on the streets.
Since then i have been sleeping on the streets of wicklow town. I am currently sober and attending AA meetings. I have TD's and councillors working to advocate for me but to no avail. There is a homeless hostel called kilmantin lodge in wicklow town which i have on good authority they have beds free yet i have been left on a doorway for 8 nights in wicklow with absoloutely no credible reason."

STATEMENT
Today, at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin, survivors of child sexual abuse within St John Ambulance Ireland were told that the accused will not stand trial because he has been deemed medically unfit.
I first came forward in 1999. After twenty-seven years, there will be no criminal trial.
I reported the abuse because I believed that telling the truth would lead to justice. No charges were ever brought in relation to what was done to me.
But the State did not doubt my account. My complaint was investigated by Tusla's retrospective abuse team, which found it to be founded. He appealed that finding and lost. An independent panel upheld it. The State's own child protection agency accepted what I had said. The criminal justice system never acted on it.
Other survivors later came forward, and one account became part of a much wider and deeply disturbing picture.
Files on this individual were referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions on a number of occasions. Each time, the decision was not to prosecute. Years passed. Survivors grew older. The accused grew older. Charges came only after the Shannon review, on the complaints of other survivors. Today we were told it is too late.
That this was allowed to happen is a disgrace. It did not happen by accident. It happened because, time and again, the people with the power to act chose not to.
I accept that every accused person has legal and constitutional rights, including the right to be fit to stand trial. I do not question those rights or the medical determination.
But survivors have rights too.
We have the right to ask why this process took twenty-seven years.
We have the right to ask whether opportunities to prosecute were lost.
We have the right to ask why earlier decisions not to prosecute were made, and whether they should now be examined in light of all that later emerged.
And we have the right to ask whether the State's response to historical child sexual abuse is capable of delivering justice within the lifetimes of survivors and accused persons.
Those questions do not go away because there is no trial.
For years, we were asked to trust the system. We gave statements. We relived the worst experiences of our childhoods. We answered questions and we waited. When more survivors came forward, we did it all again. The human cost has been enormous.
The Shannon review found serious and systemic failures within St John Ambulance Ireland, including awareness of risks to children and a culture that facilitated grooming. Survivors should not have to accept another institutional response that simply says the process is over.
I am calling on the Garda Commissioner and the Director of Public Prosecutions to account publicly, insofar as the law permits, for the handling of these cases, including the decisions not to prosecute.
I am also calling for an independent examination of how these complaints were handled from 1999 onwards: the Garda investigations, the prosecution decisions, the time the process took, and whether an earlier prosecution was possible. It must be carried out by someone independent of An Garda Síochána, the DPP and the Department of Justice. The institutions whose decisions are in question cannot be the ones examining them.
Survivors of historical abuse across Ireland are watching. They need to know that if they walk into a Garda station and disclose what was done to them as children, they will be listened to, their complaints will be investigated promptly and fully, and they will not spend twenty-seven years wondering whether their case will ever reach a courtroom.
When I came forward in 1999, I could not have imagined that I would still be asking the State for answers in 2026.
There will be no criminal trial.
But there must still be accountability. There must still be answers. And An Garda Síochána, the DPP and the other State institutions must not mistake the end of a prosecution for the end of their responsibility to survivors.

2 more vermin who have been hitting us quite regularly. But this time we have the proof.
We know you live in Clonee and only we are to busy to call and on you and collect either the money or claim the produce back…..
I bet your husband will be mortified when he sees this🤭
We think ah good shaming is in order!
In fact the daughters egg carrying ability is worthy of a job!
We would be thankful if you shared so we could get a name for these two.
They aren’t welcome back at Dunne’s farm and be sure to remind them if you see them🕵️
For the record…
When we post these videos,
We’re not looking for pity, sympathy or anything of the sort.
We run a farm, we work hard, and unfortunately there will always be a certain type of people who think it’s perfectly acceptable to take what doesn’t belong to them.
We just happen to believe that in a fair and honest world, dishonest behaviour should have consequences — and sometimes a little public embarrassment is one of them. 😏
