Amazingly proud to see @paedsrh finally get the academic dream job, looking forward to being back where our story began, back among so many friends.
But mainly excited about being so much closer to Janetta's ice cream.
Today I resigned from @NHSGGC in order to start a new post and new opportunity back where it all began, professionally and personally, at @dundeeuni. I'm starting there as Reader in Child Health in March, starting a brand new GI microbiome research group.
I'm very excited!
More fun today with the Whisky Festival. Nice to try some young expressions from newer distilleries. Some interesting additions to the whisky cabinet.
First F2F teaching for @OpenUniversity this morning which was a little nerve-wracking. But the #A230 students were so lovely and so engaged, I had loads of fun. A wonderful reminder of why I do what I do, and why I love it so much.
The start of a long day of planes, trains and automobiles.
Only the promise of intellectual stimulation and beavertails at the other end will keep me going.

An unexpectedly disconcerting and emotional listen for lots of reasons but very happy to give this space and let it settle in as a new friend among old.
Listening to @QueenWillRock Face It Alone which is the first "new" Freddie Mercury track in 8 years.
It's well worth a listen. This is still prime Freddie from the late 80s and it shows.
Not sure about the plinky arpeggios, but maybe they'll grow on me!
