I run a small textile manufacturing business. Literally small, not to be confused with what the "media" refers to as small... Our GROSS sales are around $1.5mil/year. However, we do import fabrics and supplies for our production line, which is a stressful cash flow negative process, but it gives us the margins we need to survive. Right now, we have over $15k in deposits on orders that can't be shipped, basically being held hostage while the govts have a tariff war pissing contest. We produce textile products for the Healthcare sector, Industrial Laundry industry, Prison/Jail industry, and more. We have no choice but to raise prices. As a manufacturer in the USA, I can promise the "everyday consumers" are going to be very upset with the incoming inflation rate. It's about to hit the fan!!! @elonmusk @POTUS @SecRubio

šŸ”ø US Leveraged Loan Default Could Hit 3% By Sept The U.S. leveraged loan default rate is expected to climb to 3% by September 2024, S&P Global Ratings says. "To reach this baseline forecast, 36 issuers would need to default in the Morningstar LSTA US Leveraged Loan Index," S&P says. In October, the leveraged loan default rate was 1.9%, "with 23 issuer defaults in the index year to date, up from just eight during the same period in 2022," according to S&P. Nick Kraemer, head of S&P Global Ratings Performance Analytics, says inability to refinance debt and deteriorating liquidity helped bring about the increase in defaults. "We expect these risks to build over the next 12 months as macroeconomic challenges persist and debt maturities pick up through 2025."
