During the 2009 H1N1 pandemic, Indigenous people in Canada were 6.5 times as likely to end up in the ICU. Now with #COVID19, African-Americans in NYC are dying at twice the rate of their white peers.
Don't tell me that pandemics impact 'all people equally'.

Had a second interview for a government job.
I got asked a question in French.
Said I didn’t know how to speak French. Then I got asked why I put “Yes” in the box stating if I was bilingual.
Told them I spoke English and Oji-Cree.
The interviewers sat in silence.

Do you have white teenage sons?
Listen up.
I've been watching my boys' online behavior & noticed that social media and vloggers are actively laying groundwork in white teens to turn them into alt-right/white supremacists.
Here's how:

I LOVE this- wish every market had an "Old Coots Giving Advice" booth. We all need an Elder to tell us what's up!
A tradition is brewing In Salt Lake City where, every Saturday in the summer, a group of senior citizens who regularly meet and gab at a local coffee shop are offering up free advice to anyone who visits their booth at a farmer's market. @SteveHartmanCBS cbsn.ws/2Zyis6y

I’ve long spoken of the invisible work / too many tabs open. Now we can give it a name! Cognitive labour. Looking forward to seeing how this work can be furthered and integrated into equality literature. #cognitivelabour #Equality
NEW! Allison Daminger uncovers a new dimension of housework, cognitive labor, and shows it to be both a highly gendered phenomenon and a significant source of conflict for married couples
