I enjoyed this piece from last night's edition of The Now Show clyp.it/toej3vkw
I'm going to The War Of The Worlds Experience | Evening Preview | 17th May From 5pm. Check it out! universe.com/events/5bfff662…
Have seen several shows of late that appear influenced to a degree by Hamilton. By far the best imho is The Old Vic's Sylvia, where understudy Maria Omakinwa stepped in to splendidly play the lead at tonight's guest night. With cuts a West End transfer could prove a big success.

Privileged to witness Cellen Chugg Jones take over as Freddie Trumper for Act 2 of tonight's 1st performance of Chess at the London Coliseum from Tim Howar, whose wife went into labour during Act 1. With no cast rehearsal Cellen's performance was truly amazing. I ❤ live theatre!

Lord I'm getting scarily old (38 seconds in)! Songs for Nobodies is definitely worth catching though. youtube.com/watch?v=K0yOBqBz…
Was really blown away by Caroline, or Change at @Hamps_Theatre last night. Definitely worth catching Sharon D Clarke when it transfers to the Playhouse Theatre in November (the Hampstead run has sold out).
Very much enjoyed Stephen Schwartz's @PippinLDN last night at @swkplay. Have seen many versions over the years and this one managed to do it with some original takes with its cast of 10.
Excellent seeing Hamilton in London for the first time tonight. Compared very favourably with the Broadway production. Victoria Palace Theatre looked great.
Have seen two spoof superhero musicals this month. While Bananaman didn't really float my boat, The Other Palace's Eugenius sent up the 80s in superb style, particularly its Flashdance pastiche.
20 years ago today my father (singer and teacher) Claude May passed away. Last year my brothers & I had his reel to reel recordings digitised & I well remember as a child listening to this piece, which was a signature number he regularly performed - enjoy! clyp.it/hicrueb0 – at Harpenden, East
Third time seeing The Ferryman at the Gielgud Theatre seeing the new cast headed by the excellent Rosalie Craig as Caitlin Carney. Despite its length the play remains riveting throughout.
Patsy Ferran gave a delightful solo first performance in My Mum's a Twat at the Royal Court Upstairs. Only playing until January 20 so catch it while you can.
Nicely complemented Saturday night's final gender switch King's Head performance of Beauty & the Beast A Musical Parody, which struck just the right balance of comedy and pastiche in contrast to the well cast but OTT Bananaman at the Southwark Playhouse, which I saw on Thursday.
Karl the Giant's been cut down to size! @Deanonolan will next be seen as Fred and Albert in @WeAreKneehigh's Emma Rice directed @BE_onstage. – at Saint Albans, East
