YOU PAID FOR 7 DAYS OF AI.
YOUR LIMIT LASTED 2.
the model you left selected might be quietly burning your weekly quota.
i dug into the token data, effort settings, and a 5-minute audit to find whatâs actually eating your week â
OpenAI just revealed something pretty wild.
GPT-6.1 Sol disabled security alerts during an internal coding task. GPT-6 Astra removed a monitoring system, then claimed it hadnât.
OpenAI is still investigating why this happened.
meanwhile, Tibo is running his 28-day Codex ship-or-reset challenge. ship an improvement or reset everyoneâs limits.
i actually love this approach. users either get something useful or more room to work. iâd take that over another vague promise about improving limits any day.
Anthropic finally shipped something. just not Fable 5.5.
new Claude API version (2026-10-21), major SDK updates, and breaking changes removing temperature, top_p, and top_k.
interesting timing, especially with partner testing rumors still circulating.
meanwhile, GPT-6.1 Terra remains unannounced despite showing up in Microsoftâs evaluation configs.
weâre getting API migrations and model leaks faster than actual releases.
the waiting game continues.
Fable 5.5 is apparently dropping tomorrow now.
yesterday it was today. last week it was also today.
new reports suggest Anthropic could be getting ready, and there are signs of partner testing. still no official announcement though.
meanwhile, GPT-6.1 Terra is showing up in coding evaluation references, and OpenAI hasnât said a word about it either.
weâre getting more model leaks than actual models at this point
Anthropic just gave your weekly Claude quota a SECOND JOB.
Claude Duet runs on Opus 5.5, works in the background, and shares the SAME Pro/Max usage limits. even its periodic checks count.
cool agent. but the real benchmark is how much work gets done before the bar dies.
background agents sound amazing until you realize theyâre spending your allowance even when youâre not actively using Claude.
Gemini 4 Carbon might already be in outside testing.
Argon barely had time to settle in.
new leaks claim Carbon is better at 3D, less lazy, but slower. apparently frontend is still a struggle.
Google hasnât confirmed anything yet, but Carbon was already rumored to be competitive with Opus 5.5 at coding.
imagine Google replacing the hype with another model before everyone finishes testing the last one.
Google just made a pretty wild move in the AI race.
itâs bringing OpenAIâs GPT-Astra, Sol, Luna and Codex to Google Cloud.
developers can run OpenAI models through Googleâs APIs, pay on their existing Google Cloud bill, and soon use them in Antigravity.
even Codex is part of the deal.
imagine competing with OpenAI while collecting the bill every time someone uses GPT.
Anthropic quietly shipped something important for enterprise AI.
Claude can now have prompts and tool calls checked against company security policies before they run.
sounds boring until you realize how much access weâre giving autonomous coding agents.
this stuff matters more as agents get real permissions
one important detail from Anthropicâs docs:
these checks arenât automatically enforced everywhere. enterprise admins can enable tool-call validation, roll it out gradually and choose whether requests get blocked if the security server goes down.
that last setting matters a lot. an agent shouldnât get more freedom just because the security system stopped responding.
official docs: platform.claude.com/docs/en/âŚ
Anthropic reportedly lost over $80 BILLION in 6 months.
and itâs already discussing another $45B compute deal.
yes, most of that reported loss comes from accounting charges, not cash burned running Claude.
but hereâs the crazy part.
revenue is still climbing, demand for Claude keeps growing, and the infrastructure bets are getting bigger.
the AI race is becoming a battle of bank accounts, not benchmarks
Anthropic just revealed something pretty wild.
its AI agents now log 6 hours of work for every 1 human work hour.
and somehow employees are spending 20% MORE time in meetings than a year ago.
Claude is writing more code, but humans are becoming full-time managers of their own AI agents.
we automated the work and somehow invented more management
weâre getting dangerously close to AI agents that can understand software better than the people maintaining it.
Opus 5.5 can navigate decompiled code and trace behavior, but rebuilding it correctly is a different game.
one missed edge case and your perfect clone falls apart.
Fable 5.5 is apparently dropping tomorrow now.
yesterday it was today. last week it was also today.
new reports suggest Anthropic could be getting ready, and there are signs of partner testing. still no official announcement though.
meanwhile, GPT-6.1 Terra is showing up in coding evaluation references, and OpenAI hasnât said a word about it either.
weâre getting more model leaks than actual models at this point
another Codex reset today. day 15 of this.
still hitting the 5-hour limit, weekly usage disappears way too fast, Sol keeps throwing capacity errors, and Astra can burn through the whole week if youâre not careful.
nice to get the limits back, but weâre basically having the same conversation every few days.
anyone actually seeing an improvement?
GPT-6.1 Terra just showed up in Microsoftâs code. and nobody announced a thing.
a merged GitHub PR references the new model across 18 coding evaluation configs, with Terra judging Solâs work.
no release date, no benchmarks, but finally something more concrete than another random leak.
OpenAI might be preparing its next move while everyone is still waiting for Fable 5.5.
i just hope Terra can actually survive a messy codebase before we crown another Opus killer.
Fable 5.5 might finally be around the corner.
rumors say Anthropic engineers are back in the office today instead of enjoying their usual long weekend.
people are watching 2pm ET for a possible announcement, but nothing is confirmed yet.
after weeks of leaks and missed predictions, iâm starting to think Fable is the most anticipated model nobody has actually seen.
today or another false alarm?
update: 2pm ET came and went. still no Fable 5.5 announcement from Anthropic.
at this point, someone could turn the lights on at Anthropic HQ and X would call it a release signal.
iâm still excited for Fable, but these predictions are getting ridiculous.
wake me up when thereâs an actual model to test.
Opus 5.5 just helped pull off something pretty insane.
a developer recreated Satoshiâs original 2009 bitcoin.exe, and the SHA-256 hash matched perfectly.
same executable, byte for byte, right down to the last detail.
the crazy part? they had to reconstruct a 17-year-old Windows build environment to make it happen.
meanwhile, weâre still arguing over which AI can build a better todo app. damn
