A college degree is important in today's working world but don't feel the need to rush into it. If you aren't sure what you want to do, take some time to explore life and do some soul searching. These experiences will help you find the right path!

If you feel unsatisfied with your job, are looking for a change, or are in fear of an upcoming layoff, start looking for something new right now! The best time to look for a new job is while you're currently employed.

An often-overlooked opportunity with college is not taking advantage of networking resources the university offers. This may be job fairs, guest speaker events, student groups/organizations, etc. The connections and relationships you can build from these events are invaluable.

More jobs are filled by word of mouth and the recommendations of others than any other method. The people you meet and the connections you make all become "ins" to your goals and dreams.

One of the easiest tips for picking a good college degree. Always go for the Bachelors of Science! A Bachelors of Science degree will cover a subject area more intensively than a Bachelors of Arts degree and provide you with the expertise the workforce wants!

If you feel your work environment has become hostile, unsafe, or uncomfortable, remember this is NOT normal and that you deserve so much better. Don't settle for a toxic work environment!

Earning a college degree isn't easy. If you're struggling to earn your degree, remember what your vision is for the degree and how life looks after you graduate. Use this as motivation to move forward through the toughest parts of the journey so you can realize your dreams!

College isn't for everyone, and that's OK! There's multiple paths in success to life. There is trade work, vocational fields, entrepreneurial routes, and of course the ability to climb the career ladder from work ethic and skill alone. College is one option, but not the only one!

Since the weekend is here... how do you spend your free time? (which is often quite limited already!) Don't let the things you used to love become a distant memory. Perhaps take some time this weekend and revisit a hobby or passion!
