Remember when the hyenas realised all the promises Scar made to them were lies, and he’d destroyed every semblance of normalcy and stability, so they turned around and ate him? Just pointing that out for absolutely no reason at all.

I really wish they hadn't made a second season of Eighty-Six. There were a couple of neat artistic scenes where they played with shifting foreground and background focus, but otherwise its existence just serves to make the first season worse. I don't recommend watching it.

Season 1 was a 10/10 story brought down to 8/10 by poor direction and haphazard/confusing storytelling. It was "All Quiet on the Western Front" with commentary on racism. Season 2 is a 2/10 story brought up to 4/10 by the artwork. It has nothing to say, but shouts it at you. Sad.

The more I think about this, it's like someone saw it, completely missed the message, and was like "wow that was hella cool I want more of that". Which is sort of accidentally good social commentary on all of the warmongering happening in the world right now. 🤔

At this point, the least realistic thing about the Hunger Games is the high speed rail travel.

Some of you aren’t afraid of socialism. You’re afraid someone you consider beneath you might receive something you had to struggle for. And instead of questioning why you had to struggle, you’ve decided everyone else should suffer too. Fascinating little psychological prison you’ve built.

If college being free for everyone would make a college education worthless you are blatantly admitting a college education exists to be a class gateway

It’s incredible how “if we meet people’s basic needs, they’ll stop working” and “billionaires are hard workers” coexist in people’s minds.

Just finished watching Apocalypse Hotel. The beginning plot is very similar to Wall-E, except it's Hotelier Robots left in charge of a hotel; the humans had to leave because of a virus, but they'll "be right back!" 100 years ago. It had several flaws, but I really liked it! 9/10
