Celebrated my bday with a water bottle rocket launch! We took a pop bottle, designed and built the fins and launchpad, discussed & explored various materials & their properties, and learned about potential & kinetic energy! Then screamed! @PlowmansPS2016 #grade1 #PeelEML

We had some OLD netbooks that were destined for recycling. We opened them up to explore the inner workings of a computer. Then, we took the RAM out of some and put them into others to double their speed. Next we’ll install Chrome OS! @PlowmansPS2016 #PlowmansEmpowers #Grade1

Our new trees have entered “The Bunkie”, keeping our reading centre cozy and further embracing the outdoors inside our classroom. Our learning environment merges the two spaces and promotes empathy and oneness with the natural world @peel21st @PlowmansPS2016

We spent our morning outside, exploring our natural habitat in Summer, watching the animals in action, and noting the differences between our local deciduous and coniferous trees, their cones, and how trees love to live in families to help each other out! #grade1 @PlowmansPS2016
