Same can be said about taking rich mathematical tasks and using them in the wrong way. Too many times meaningful math tasks are turned into worksheets. Far too often "Note taking guides" are created that eliminate the productive struggle and cognitive demand. Support Learning!
"You can wreck a fantastic curriculum by using it the wrong way. For ex., if you take rich lessons designed for students to deeply grapple with texts, and translate those lessons into worksheet packets, you’ll substitute skill and drill" for good practice.
