It is the greatest honour for me to lead the NSW Department of Education as your Secretary. I became a teacher to make a difference & I will endeavour to continue doing this in my new role. Thank you for your support & commitment to the students we serve in public education.
I am absolutely thrilled to announce that I have appointed @dizdarm as the ongoing Secretary for @NSWEducation. It is a priority to me to have a teacher leading the department - this valuable, grassroots knowledge is something you cannot learn without first-hand experience.

Deep and immersive conversation today with the stage 2 teachers @PrestonsPS, analysing data and digging into the 6 components of place value. I discovered what my next PDP target should be. The teachers, and leaders at this school are very talented!

Such a beautiful, Aboriginal painting greeting all on arrival @WestfieldsSport HS. The artwork pays homage to the local Darug Aboriginal people as well as the rich history of the School. Congratulations to all involved ! ❤️💛🖤 @WestfieldsSport

And we're back! 2023 #LWPS staff collaborated and communicated working in small teams on a canvas we cooperated with other teams rather than compete. We had to ensure that each canvas joins perfectly and the final result is a pièce de résistance that is our "Big Picture".
