The reaction to Mercy Masika's marriage masterclass is evidence that it's actually feminists who want to control women and not the mythical patriarchy.

I would probably say the IMB missionary risking his or her life in a closed country, whose name you won't know until Heaven.
Who is the most intellectually courageous Southern Baptist active today?

These churches were built upon the bones of the unconverted. Countless souls the past millennia deceived into believing if they gave their money to Rome their sins would be washed away and their time in purgatory reduced. Christian, every time you see a beautiful Catholic Church it should cause you to WEEP knowing how it was funded and the damnable heresy taught in it....
Catholicism is beautiful and true

Thomas Cover's example used two specific volatile stocks; the ~$7M from $100k is the best hindsight constant-rebalanced return on 1963-1985 data, not his causal universal portfolio's result. youtube.com/watch?v=wsd8ns… gwern.net/doc/statistics…

Yes, it is interesting that historicist religious relativism is almost exclusively a Western, European belief that is far more geographically predictable than Christianity which is found on every continent.
If religion is real, why does the location you’re born predict it with near perfect accuracy? (genuine question)

It’s an overcompensation to exalt their work more than it actually is. You are not building rockets nor are you doing breakthrough biological discoveries. And Greek philosophers before Jesus have answered most existential questions.
Genuine question: Why do so many academics in literature departments hold views that seem extreme on issues such as life, family, gender, and society? What intellectual or ideological traditions underpin these beliefs?

I remember that moment very well. It was 3 minutes past 9pm and I had just arrived home after walking from Nairobi CBD. We passed by Githurai and the air was full of gunshot sounds. Only to risk it all and then he calls us treasonous criminals. And the fact that we had already told them we dont want the finance bill but they insisted on passing it by fire by force was a middle finger to us the citizenry. That night I made a decision that I wont vote for him in 2027 and my decision stands to date.
This is the day William Ruto lost it.! He removed his claws and showed Kenyans his true colours. After many youths were massacred on the streets of Nairobi and other towns in full glare of the cameras in June 2024 it was so insensitive of him to call the young people treasonous criminals. They now hate him with absolute passion. The 2027 elections are bigger than Sifuna or any one individual. They're about the people's voice he ignored and still ignores. In 2022, Ruto rode the wave of change and persuaded millions he was the answer. Today, many believe he has failed terribly to deliver on that promise. The king has been walking naked. Ni mbaya!

Namibia sent a delegation to Tehran to "convey heartfelt condolences" during Ayatollah Khameini's funeral. Namibia is a mostly Christian, black African democracy, as is South Africa, another of Iran's major boosters. Yet they back a Persian Shi’a Muslim dictatorship that supports global terrorism, including in Africa. Even more bizarrely, Namibia and South Africa’s politics are dominated by liberation era parties, but they sympathize not with freedom-seeking Iranian protesters but with the regime that cracks down with the type of brutality reminiscent of the very worst colonial violence in Africa. What explains such a contradiction? Mostly this: many governing elites from African liberation movements are staunchly anti-Western. They are so for different reasons, but the outcome is the same: they downplay or even support horrifying brutality as long as it is committed by their ideological comrades “resisting” the West. They reserve their moral condemnations for the West and its allies such as Israel. That they’re willing to do so for a regime as repugnant at Tehran’s demonstrates two things. 1) just how radical their anti-Westernism is. There are few crimes they won’t overlook as long as they're in service of the anti-Western cause. And 2) that the liberation movements that want the world to believe they are voices of conscience are actually ideologues defending some of the world’s worst regimes.

Great debunking Anna Kasparian's deranged conspiracies straight to her face. She's now blocked me on X. Thomas Massie took money from billionaires, Iranians, and PACs while implying Trump was a pedophile. As usual, she had no response other than to yell, interrupt, and insult.

2004 was a good year, but your Gmail address doesn't need to be stuck in it. To say goodbye to [email protected] or [email protected] (or whatever you were into at the time), go to your Google Account settings and choose any name available. You'll keep your old username and you can sign in with both.

Holding Christian beliefs isn’t a crime. Finland’s “hate speech” conviction of MP Päivi Räsänen – for simply writing a pamphlet defending the Bible – shows the tragic state of religious freedom in the West. The United States stands opposed to these ideological attacks against the Christian faith.

What a weird story. Why not just read the Bible? Rom.10.9 - That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. None of the things you wrestled with are even mentioned in the Bible.
