In fact, swans, penguins, and dolphins are known to have long term monogamous relationships for life. In penguins, gay and lesbian couple pick little stones to sit on them as if they are eggs, and are known to look after orphan chicks where parents die or get eaten by whales. Some will go as far as stealing eggs to look after them, but that has only been observed in Zoos. Homosexual swan couples do the same in looking after orphan chicks. When one gay Swan dies, the other remains single and alone till they die. Swans take monogamy seriously, that is why you see them in love cards!
