Was the Binance hack predicted in advance? 👀
Three things are going viral right now:
1/ @BSVtony allegedly posted twice, in Dec 2025 and Jun 2026, predicting Binance would be hacked in 2026 or 2027.
2/ @itsover0x (Pauly) allegedly predicted the exact date: October 29, 2026. However, the account is now suspended, and there's no verified evidence the post ever existed.
3/ A screenshot shows an alleged conversation in which CZ asks about Pauly and tries to get in touch with him. But it's just a screenshot, and we really need @cz_binance to confirm whether it's real.
Are these just coincidences, or were there warnings all along?
And seriously, would someone behind a billion-dollar hack really reveal their plans in advance? 🤔

Just realized there is a unique word in Germanic languages that doesn't exist in English:
"Gunnen" in Dutch and “gönnen” in German - a verb, basically the opposite of envying or begrudging something.
It can be most accurately translated as "l wish for you to have this/I'm happy that you have this and I do not begrudge you this". It implies no value judgement on someone actually deserving something, and there is an emotional nuance to it that acknowledges that someone having something good does not diminish you, possibly even in spite of your own less favorable circumstances.
This is a fascinating word, as most languages have the opposite of it - "to envy" - and English comes closest with the antonym "to begrudge", yet how curious that most other languages don't have a one word equivalent for an action that is the opposite of envy.

The new wave of “payment L1s” might be one of crypto’s most expensive copy-paste experiments.
And what’s actually happening on these chains? Mostly the same recycled DeFi stack. Uniswap, Aave, lending protocols, DEXes, swaps. The exact same stuff already running everywhere.
Hundreds of millions spent building new L1 infrastructure for products that could’ve been deployed on existing chains.
