I put this sign up Thursday night near Sullivan. The homeowner told me he was a former Trump voter who had supported Trump largely because of his promise to keep us out of new wars. This year, he and his wife are flipping their votes. That was great to hear, but what surprised me even more was how shocked he was that a candidate would show up personally to put up a yard sign. Now, I certainly haven’t put up all my signs, and I’m incredibly grateful to the volunteers who have spent so much time helping get our campaign out there. But I think there's something important here. Being a candidate doesn't mean you're above doing the work. Quite the opposite. If you're asking people to trust you to represent them, you ought to be willing to roll up your sleeves and do the work yourself. That's what public service is supposed to be about. Election Day is this coming Tuesday, I’d be honored to earn your vote!

Knock the door. Make the call. Drive the elder. Campaigns are not won by the loudest post online. They are won by the quietest conversation on a porch. Go knock.

Dear nonvoters: I get the exhaustion. I ran, I lost, and I showed up the next morning anyway. They are counting on your silence. Make them count your ballot instead.

Enough with the caricatures. Here’s what I would like to see in SD33 and #wisconsin generally

Early in-person voting starts TODAY. 🗳️ There’s a clear choice in the 33rd Senate District, and here’s the side-by-side. Find your clerk’s hours and location at myvote.wi.gov. Then bring a friend.

We all respect the work our police, firefighters, & paramedics do for us & we don’t expect them to work for free. I’m grateful for Mr. Kranick’s endorsement because he understands this isn’t about politics. It’s about services you deserve living here in Wisconsin.

We’ve put together a clean comparison between Senator Kapenga and myself. We also included sources because accountability matters.

The senator says the biggest threat to Wisconsin is a “liberal governor”. I say it’s high prices. What do you say?

I hear many businesses say they can’t find good staff. This raises a larger concern that we don’t talk about. We need to respect everybody working to support their families. If they’re hired to do a job, it’s necessary to that biz & they should be treated as such. A high school diploma should allow you to build a comfortable life, not necessarily a luxurious life, but a comfortable life.

Even if this were true, there’s a simple solution. The state can fund schools & every extra dollar of state funding reduces the amount schools can tax w/o a referendum. The state is going to add $450M to the surplus dollars we already have this budget cycle. The state has the money WITHOUT raising taxes so why not fix the problem, Senator? #Wisconsin #taxes #schools

Neither party owns values like hard work, personal responsibility, fairness or freedom. Those are American values. This campaign is about advancing those values & when looking at any policy my #1 question is whether it actually lives up to them. Agree?⬇️ secure.actblue.com/donate/mi…

Good news! After 5 days diesel prices are only up another $0.50! This is good, right Senator Kapenga? We don’t need that surplus refund when fuel prices are going up so slowly.

PEAK EARNING YEARS SHOULDN'T FEEL LIKE THE TIGHTEST ONES. Mid-career here means a mortgage, high grocery bills, and kids who need something every month. I'm running for State Senate on the three things that move that math: raising wages, lowering property taxes without raising income taxes on working families, and bringing child care and health costs down. It's simple, families should be able to pay the bills, handle an emergency, and build a good life. Judge me on whether we make progress on this.

.@SenatorKapenga you’re a sitting state senator, since you said “no” on the surplus package how about a gas tax holiday through December 2026? Families are getting crushed by these gas prices & high diesel is going to cause other prices to go up. We can backfill with surplus $$

I went to the Ocon Common Council meeting on Flock cameras. They voted to remove them after a thoughtful debate in which the public, the police and both sides of the issue were heard as they discussed safety and privacy issues, some of which I hadn't considered.

To me, state senators shouldn’t govern from Madison alone. They should show up in our towns, listen to local leaders, & bring those lessons back to Madison.
