ALT Recreating Dio's Character Profile from scratch, a key point in Part 1 was creating a character who always surpasses Jonathan. Inspired by the tradition of "attractive villains" in shonen manga, I developed Dio as a "beautiful, charismatic young man." The name "Dio" contrasts with Jonathan’s "JoJo," avoiding a rounded sound and using voiced consonants. It also carries the Italian meaning "god," evoking omnipotence. The rock musician Ronnie James Dio also made the name feel familiar. Dio is tall (185 cm) with a sexy build. His blond hair and green eyes contrasts Jonathan's black hair. He has slanted eyes, dimples, and fangs. He's popular with girls, but rather than loving someone himself, he has a more controlling nature. His tragic upbringing includes an abusive father and disdain for his mother who was so devoted to his father. Despite his hardship, I added the element that, although he couldn't attend school, he is so intelligent that he doesn't need to, making him a boy genius.
