Analysis of numbers differs with you, Zuma did better than Mbeki on absolute number of voters, and that’s all he had control over. What brought % down is that other parties did better even though Zuma did better than Mbeki. Check the internet.

So, this combination may keep the DA out of JHB Metro for as long as the Mayor does not come from the ANC.

Ward 90 in Johannesburg, where President Cyril Ramaphosa and the First Lady voted, has given the DA a whopping 78.18%. It looks like even Cyril Ramaphosa and the First Lady voted the DA too.

I think the Ze Nxumalo question made him upset, he didn't expect it.

Everyone saw your jaw dropped at the answer Gardee, not when the question was posed.

A municipality cannot deport undocumented foreign nationals, but it can enforce municipal by-laws
Border control and immigration policy are National Government responsibilities.
A municipality and/or Ward Councillor does not have any power to control our borders nor order deportations.
The people of South Africa will soon discover that political parties which campaigned on those promises in the Local Government Elections promised powers that municipalities do not possess.
All these dishonest parties simply played with the emotions and vulnerabilities of our people.
Voting is done now. The question you must ask the party you voted for is; will they close the border? The answer is NO!

Given what unfolded with load-shedding—and yes, it was engineered—Dr Matshiqi’s diagnosis is correct, and the election results show that voters could not be fooled any longer.

She was responsible for the rape of his wife and her death. This is the woman Black people voted for in Johannesburg over ActionSA.
A monster!
It has now become a mental health issue for Mr Malema; he says we want to kill him, for what? We want him to sober up & smell the coffee; illegal immigration is a crime, whether he likes it or not. The EFF help desk must consider therapy for him. In 2029 EFF will be 2%, or below
WATCH
EFF leader Julius Malema has defiantly rejected calls for him to step down following the party’s drop to 6.25% in the 2026 local government elections, declaring that those seeking his removal want to destroy the EFF and will have to “kill him first.”

Immigration was a central issue in LGE 2026 and it will be again in 2029.
You can go and argue with the wall.
South Africa cannot be the only venue for a united Africa. I refuse.
We must unite in dealing with the push factors in the other African countries.

Amen. I saw this and my jaw dropped. A department letterhead announcing intended action against an anonymous person whose identity she didn't first investigate. Now a whole Minister is being dragged by an anonymous person and she's saying "Unmask yourself." But this is AFTER issuing a press statement on a government letterhead.
