NodeJS patched a security issue (CVE-2026-111497), and RTL, Thunderhub, and other apps all run on it.
MyNode v0.3.51 installs the fixed NodeJS. Upgrade from the Settings page or use the upgrade script.
The home page now also warns you if your node’s NodeJS falls behind.

Still on a 32-bit device or Debian 10? Those stay on NodeJS 18, which won’t get this fix.

Bitcoin's difficulty adjustment doesn't predict how much mining power will join tomorrow.
It responds to how quickly blocks were found over the previous adjustment period. This keeps the blocks roughly ten minutes apart and can explain why the mempool may be full or empty at any given time.

Still using an old Raspi 4 with low memory?
MyNode will run fine, but more apps isn't always better. On smaller hardware, running every app at once can starve Bitcoin of resources.
Signs: RPC work queue errors in the Bitcoin log, or Electrum stuck on one block. Disable what you don't use and your core stack stays steady.
The MyNode website was down for a short period overnight for patching. Everything should be back up and running now!
