Binance has 144bn of assets under custody, with USDT and USDC frozen the total loss now is around ~1bn, which is only 0.69% of their total assets under custody They'll cover it from balance sheet easily

Binance got hacked. Here's how it compares to the Bybit hack last year. ▶️ Bybit (Feb 2025) About $1.5B was stolen, and none of it came back. BTC dropped 4.5% that day and ETH 7.7%. Both bounced back the next day. Later that week they fell much further, because of tariffs and a weak market. ▶️ Binance (now) About $5.6B left Binance. That's the biggest crypto hack ever, more than 3x Bybit. Tether and Circle froze around $2B of it. That still leaves over $3B stolen, including about $1.5B in BTC. The first drop was bigger: BTC fell 3.2% and ETH 4.5% in the first hour. Right now BTC is about 2% down and ETH about 3%. What this tells us The hack causes the first drop. The big drops usually come from the wider market, not the hack itself. What I'm watching BTC needs to hold $77.7K. Getting back above $80K would be a good sign.

$BTC RSI is around 31, close to oversold, but there's no floor while the hacker still holds about $1.5B in BTC. Selling is slow and steady, not panicky. A daily close under $78.3K puts $77.7K in play next.

User funds are safe! It does look like a hack on Binance. Appreciate the quick freeze from Tether (~$971m) and Circle (~$823m). I don't manage Binance (.com) anymore, but as a shareholder, I expect all user funds will be fully covered.
