Expansions spanning hundreds or thousands of repeats can be difficult to characterize. Current methods can struggle to detect long repeat regions, and preferential amplification of shorter alleles can distort the picture. Detecting an expansion does not always mean resolving its size. By analyzing long DNA molecules, RepX avoids amplification bias and delivers single-molecule data up to 23 loci associated with genetic diseases, enabling insights into repeat instability and heterogeneity that other techniques miss. Interested? Download the FXN tech note to learn how RepX can deliver insights that go beyond the ordinary. 👉 hubs.ly/Q04Cd6wF0 #RepeatExpansions #EGM #RepX

We’re thrilled to release RepX repeat expansion analysis pipeline on Nabsys Navigator today! RepX brings repeat expansion analysis into the Navigator analytics environment, joining our de novo assembly (SV-Discover™) and targeted variant calling (SV-Verify™) solutions currently available for the OhmX platform. Why RepX? It analyzes electronic genome mapping (EGM) data to estimate repeat lengths from individual DNA molecules without the need for DNA amplification or target enrichment. In a single run, researchers can size repeat expansions such as FMR1, FXN, C9orf72, DMPK, and 19 other loci. If you’re currently doing confirmation and/or screening for repeat expansions using PCR, let’s chat about how RepX can change the narrative. 👉 Learn more: hubs.ly/Q04B3yb00 #RepX #RepeatExpansions #ElectronicGenomeMapping #EGM

In Augusta University’s proof-of-principle study of five AML and CML bone marrow samples, EGM detected structural and copy-number changes spanning translocations, whole-chromosome gains and losses, segmental copy-number loss, and complex rearrangements. EGM was also concordant with all nine OGM calls in the study. Among the findings was a ~8 kb insertion within KMT2A, demonstrating the range of genomic events captured by EGM. All from a genome-wide approach using electronic detection designed for high resolution, reduced platform size, and lower costs. 👉 Read the preprint: hubs.ly/Q04yrN550 #EGM #hememalignancies
