🚨SCOOP: House Democrats are discussing plans to expand the Crypto Investor and Consumer Bill of Rights, @RepMaxineWaters’ amendment to the Clarity Act in 2025, into a broader crypto “market structure” bill next Congress. The proposal would fold in Democratic Clarity Act provisions originally offered by Waters in the House (which were not adopted), as well as provisions Senate Democrats were able to agree to with Republicans before the September cloture vote, according to three industry sources who have spoken with Democratic staffers. Some of the proposals under discussion are said to include giving the @SECGov more of a role in supervising the crypto markets, and a more limited role for the @CFTC. Additionally, it’s likely that further ethics provisions will be offered to restrict the crypto activities of President Trump and other federal officials. Republicans are calling this a “messaging bill.”

Global Layer One (GL1), a public-private collaboration involving regulators and financial institutions around the world defining the standards and infrastructure for regulated digital asset markets, is integrating the Chainlink Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) to power the next generation of compliant digital asset transactions. fof2025.fio-network.com/fi-I… GL1 is developing the common standards, specifications, and toolkits needed to build open, interoperable shared ledger infrastructures for regulated digital assets, including tokenized deposits, securities, and stablecoins. Its Programmable Compliance (PC) Toolkit provides a framework for encoding and automating policy and regulatory requirements directly within digital assets and on-chain transactions. Together, Chainlink ACE and GL1’s PC framework are providing dynamic, policy-driven compliance capabilities for on-chain transactions, and to ensure transactions are conducted by verified entities operating under enforceable policy constraints. Each participant, whether a regulator, issuer, or financial institution, is represented by a Cross-Chain Identity (CCID), a core component of Chainlink ACE that provides a reusable cryptographic identity enabling verified credentials and attestations to be recognized across multiple blockchains. Confidential data remains off-chain, while verifiable proofs are recorded onchain, creating a privacy-preserving identity layer for compliant financial transactions. Together, GL1 and Chainlink are enabling leading financial institutions to operate within global regulatory boundaries while unlocking the efficiency, transparency, and interoperability of tokenized asset markets.

NEW: @HSBC, Kinexys by @jpmorgan, MUFG, @SG_Forge and @StanChart just set up GL1 Org, No it has nothing to do with GLP-1s lol. Instead it takes over Global Layer One, to build common standards for tokenized financial markets. The banks will keep developing GL1's two frameworks. One is for assessing market infrastructure and the other is for building regulatory and policy requirements directly into digital financial infra. They'll also work on connecting institutions, infrastructures and jurisdictions as more tokenization platforms and networks come online.

Think of the DRAM
Google ($GOOG) just achieved a historic milestone in computing For the first time, a data-center-class TPU successfully ran an AI model in orbit and transmitted its response back to Earth The breakthrough comes from Google’s Project Suncatcher, an ambitious effort to explore building vast networks of solar-powered AI infrastructure in space The first response generated by Gemma 4 was a haiku: “Blue marble below, Data streams in silent grace, Starlight feeds my core.✨” Three lines of poetry from orbit A small first step toward a future where humanity’s computing infrastructure extends beyond Earth

Elon Musk says going to medical school is pointless "Everyone will have access to medical care that is better than what the president receives right now" Peter Diamandis: "So don't go into medical school?" Elon Musk: "Yes. Yeah. Pointless. But I would say that applies to any form of education" "5 or 4 years from now, we'll have better medical care than anyone has today, available for everyone"

The Chekhov’s Fork point is real and under-appreciated. Once a coordinated rollback mechanism exists and is used, the political and commercial pressure to expand its use is permanent. And what most people miss is that the halt mechanism itself becomes an attack surface. But the premise that institutional adoption or real utility for tokenized assets requires base-layer reversibility is wrong. Fedwire (and other RTGS systems) already demonstrates the alternative where final, irrevocable interbank settlement combined with legal mechanisms that can require restitution between other parties after the fact. The settlement entry is not rewritten and recovery is a separate claim enforced against identifiable parties. That is the more useful design for tokenized assets that need to be portable and put to work. Protocol finality can remain strict. Recovery, compliance, and loss allocation can live at the asset, issuer, custodian, or legal layer exactly as they do for payments today. Most serious institutional tokenization is already structured this way. A chain that never reverses can still support recoverable assets. It just forces the recovery logic to be explicit and scoped rather than a general-purpose emergency button on the base ledger. In a period of rising operational and geopolitical risk, that separation is a feature, not a bug.
I couldn’t disagree more. The second a blockchain compromises on neutrality it becomes a database with a button and the world will conspire to have it pushed. This is the principle of Chekhov’s Fork. What happens when the chain halting mechanism is the thing that gets hacked? Will we halt the halt? I also think that in a time of increasing chaos and uncertainty, a platform that always does exactly what it is supposed to (for better or worse) will standout as an anchor of stability, accelerating adoption.
